@theJeremyVine
The cab driver was impatient, but there's plenty of things you should've done differently. Do you fancy sending me the unedited footage and I'll do a piece on it?
@theJeremyVine
The examples you give are different scenarios but don’t apply to the original poor emerge. The driver was terrible but they had seen you which changes thing’s totally. The move to the right was a tell off. People are starting to see through you Jeremy.
1: So my crash footage has been doing the rounds today. Hitting over 1,300shares on Facebook with 111k views.
@theJeremyVine
was also kind enough to share it too. I’m happy for it to be seen, provided it inspires a positive discussion about genuine road courtesy and kindness.
@Mad_1nventor
Just be careful giving way like this when motorists may still be continuing. Inadvertently, you might encourage the kids to run out in front of that vehicle. They were in a dangerous spot but were showing all the signs of being in charge of when they wished to cross
@theJeremyVine
I’ve now been blocked by
@theJeremyVine
. I have not been nasty or abusive but just expressed a professional opinion on his clip. Didn’t I fit in with your narrative?
Toxic cyclists again trying to drum up hate because I point out where they can do better. The clip shown shows the driver display major issues with 4 of the 5 skills I often mention.
@DrTKearney
@cyclegaz
Please start asking yourself the question “have they seen me?” This is what every good road user should be asking themselves. The amount that don’t match the road users who don’t observe effectively.
@PudseyPedaller
Your lack of understanding of risk is mind blowing and this is what I constantly challenge you and your group about. When I’ve pointed this out I get blocked and abuse.
All too intent on arguing a point just because it’s anti-cyclist Ashley and then after telling me it wasn’t about safety then replies ‘it’s about safety’. Just shows how toxic and uneducated some people are.
Was alert to the potential and in control but so impressed with this drivers situational awareness. Could easily be for given for not expecting someone to be coming through here. Had to commend her.
DVSA have responded to the complaint made against me by either PP or one of his crew. “I confirm that under the circumstances we will not be taking this complaint further.” “However, in line with our standard practice, we will keep a note of this complaint on your ADI record” 1/2
@RiderEddie81
If you think you can rely on drivers to keep you safe 100% of the time you are deluded. This is the serious lacking of many that I am trying to highlight to reduce risk. Instead you think it’s my bias against cyclists which couldn’t be further from the truth.
“We do investigate complaints as fully as possible with what information we have and try to provide a fair and balanced assessment. I appreciate that certain complaints are unfounded.” Now it’s my turn to raise some complaints 2/2
@ChaponaBike123
You holding where you did before halfway made the driver of the red car do what they did. You were thinking one way, but showing the other.
@CyclingInASkirt
They can’t see to look before they pull out, but they needed to edge out much slower. This gives all incoming road users more time. Nice road position btw 👏👍
@2wheelsnot4
@cyclegaz
I’m not blaming
@cyclegaz
I’m just asking if he could have done anything differently. No body in the thread could come up with anything. Quite alarming and now because I’ve challenged a cyclist the pile on continues. Nice
Another toxic post from a terrible rider who quotes some severe assumptions of my assessment. Have a look at this antagonistic rider for yourself My analysis video to follow.
Well I have now been called antagonistic by the great Ashley.
My crime? Apparently riding primary and filtering through rush hour traffic.
Oh and im not a "proper cyclist"
Having read through all Government guidelines, I am unsure which of these guidelines are restricting Driving Instructors going back to work. Could you let me know? Thanks.
@DVSA_HelpMe
@ChaponaBike123
Nah. The red car waits and only commits due to your positioning. I call it read a story, tell a story and yours wasn’t clear you wanted to turn offside.
Evening
@MerPolTraffic
. I’ve been sent another electrically assisted pedal cycle to review but I’m pretty certain it’s illegal. Would you be able to give me any help if I bought it down to you (obviously on my bike rack) to confirm my suspicions?
And here is an interesting one on the engine running. If you turn it off and your car steams up you are left there for a number of minutes with your engine running to de-mist it. What’s the best option?
@sigirides
@MPSRTPC
@MetCycleCops
That’s poor but probably down to the fact the the car was oncoming and not overtaking (not that it should make any difference) . Don’t let it put you off reporting Travis 👊
@Cycling_Bob
Because there are so many morons driving motor vehicles are you really expecting the stupid to change to keep yourself safe? Continue to blame others when you are more in control than you realise. Stubbornness is rife and so are moronic road users.
@MayDayFPL
It’s good to see you weren’t left hooked but I would add that if a motorist isn’t going to be able to complete the left before the cyclist, don’t even drive past. Good work here but can still do better B+
@ChrisThinkbiker
Pleasure to watch that clip Chris. The amount of times I’ve been told I’m victim blaming because I give advice to cyclists to reduce risk is unreal. Keep strong with this great message 👊
@AshleyNealDI
I disagree with Mikey on this one & suspect Police found no offence committed. Mikey started overtake, close to pinch point, instead of staying behind.
I regularly get told that responsible parking really matters to the public 🚘
While the Police possess certain powers of enforcement, they cannot do this on their own.
Everyone has a responsibility to park safely and respect all road users and pedestrians 🎥👀
@MerPolTraffic
…
Remember. Engine on? Not safely parked. Therefore a £200 and 6 penalty points. Don't think the police will enforce? Ask the 15 drivers I reported last year.
Easy solution though. Just TURN OFF YOUR ENGINE.
Merseyside Police arrest more drug drivers than any other force! Following the release of the national Op Limit figures we have been highlighted for our hard work removing these dangerous drivers from the road.
@cyclegaz
@roadcc
Where do you think I got this statement from
@cyclegaz
? One of your clip’s features soon on the channel btw. No need to worry, I’ve used it as a good example.
@edwardlamb
@BikeWirral
Nothing wrong with that from me
@edwardlamb
. I’m not usually one for any rule broken but I’d do exactly the same here. Slow enough to stop for any pedestrian and this space can easily be shared 👍🏼
@PudseyPedaller
Yay. My video has found it way onto toxic Twitter.
@PudseyPedaller
doesn’t agree that while cycling you need to adjust your speed and look at many things, and if your bike can’t slow down as quick as a car then you can’t ride as quick as I car. Thanks for the share 👍
@AnfieldWatch
Massively underrated. He did the things that’s allowed others to take the limelight and take all the plaudits. Never gave less than 100% and was an integral part of our successes. 10/10

@roadcc
@AndyCoxDCS
could this incident have ended without problem if your advice on challenge was different? Would you like to clarify what you think cyclist should do in these confrontational situations?
@stevenmwright
@JeremyVineOn5
@theJeremyVine
I’d be happy to do something with this. I’ve not looked at the different sides to any arguments but there’s only one thing that should have happened in my opinion. Are people really saying kids shouldn’t be able to cycle on the roads? Wow
@4ChordsNoNet
Your answer clearly shows you have little clue. I’m not going to even try to help someone who is clearly trying to instigate a pile on. Continue riding into risk.
#toxiccyclist
@aLeedscyclist
@SonOfTheWinds
I had nothing to do with filming or riding in the footage. I just highlight poor road use. I’m surprised with all your experience you didn’t spot these things. Do you ride in the same manner?
@Mad_1nventor
@wills91114
They were stood still James. They knew what they were doing. Motorists needed more caution but be careful of your own actions going forward. You were trying to be nice but may have increased risk here.
@Tdr1nka
Don’t forget you complained about my take on Jeremy Vine when he nearly got ran over, and your a qualified instructor, wow. Your even that confident of your opinion you go anonymous. Send me your full name so I can complain about you
