On March 23 2020 I finished another 15hr day and vowed I needed to give me time every day for my own well-being. And so it began on March 24. I have ridden every day since, almost 20,000km. Today is day 365 and I’m 8kg lighter. And a new bike on order! @NorthRoadCycles

When a police officer says this you have to be concerned. On what planet will a plastic lid help you if you are hit by a 1 ton vehicle at 48mph? “…worked out the driver was travelling 48mph (77km/h). PC Wyatt added: "My main concern is that Joshua didn't have a helmet on."

Driving along Boucher Rd. 6.48am. Cyclist. No lights. Completely tip to toe dark clothing. Literally could not be seen. What are the rules and repercussions for these ppl? No doubt had I had hit him it would have been my fault. Are they stupid! #cyclists #RoadSafety

@ChaponaBike123 Nobody. Let’s stop trying to find fault and division when there is none. HC allows for slow vehicles, plus it was perfectly safe. The law says cyclists shouldn’t ride on pavements but police commentary has relaxed that as long as it’s safe.

My 79yo dad just gave me a lift. He is exactly the kind of driver that I fear as a cyclist. Hard acceleration, late braking, it’s a limit not a target… I was pumping the imaginary brake so hard I was in danger of putting my foot through the floor!
