@timricketts_ I already dread when I read ‘seen by Dr X’ or ‘discussed with Dr X’, with my name, knowing I haven’t got a clue about the patient. Medical records don’t help - it’s not like anytime someone uses your name you get to countersign their entry! This is only going to get worse!

@JimBethell @NAOorguk My Lord, there is no such workforce. You have not increased doctor training numbers in proportion to patient numbers and complexity. You have lost the trust of doctors, the best of whom (who can) will leave the country at the soonest chance.

@UKGastroDr I believe self-rostering with @healthrota would be the solution. Credit to @DrRobgalloway who highlighted this. Traditional rotas with excel or Google sheets is far from ideal. This system allows you to make swaps directly with another individual - no need for a 3rd party

@eveson_tom To be honest in the next 5-10 years I would expect AI to do the discharge summaries (and maybe arrange MDTs?), simply approved by the doctors. I still don’t see the need for the role. More doctors, more phlebotomists is what’s needed.
