Which city in Canada needs to burn down to convince people that devastating wildfires are now a thing that happens, and a thing that needs to be taken seriously?

Like when Klaus was pining over lost love and Diego said who was she and Klaus said he and Diego said glad you found someone.
There was no drama other than the actual real drama they all constantly face.

I had short hair when I was a ten-year-old girl, and was mistaken for a boy several times (mortifying). When I said girl, the people who thought boy were embarrassed, apologised, and accepted that I was a girl.
How far society has fallen that someone would now argue the point.

We asked for UBI. You're offering a GST holiday, and half-price at Swiss Chalet (*some restrictions may apply).
You might not be listening.

Getting catalogues in the mail. I liked flipping through catalogues to see what was available, but, also, I really quite liked receiving big envelopes containing catalogues (the Wish Book, IKEA) in the mail.
The whole paper catalogue experience.
@JustinTrudeau
Stop dismissing the protesters as being an anti-science "fringe" minority. They are people. Canadians. Voters. They are frustrated because they don't feel heard in your democracy. The hateful symbols and bad behaviour are appalling, but that's what it took to get your attention.
A hero died today in the service of her country.
Criticism of Rona's new job, Andrew's paperwork, Justin's spending, and Pierre's office decor can maybe wait for another day.

Hey Canada, let's try something new. Let's elect NO white men to public office for five years and see what happens. Just five years. Then we can open it up again. Who's in?

That the CBC is a Crown corporation is breaking news for you? Has its funding model never come up in committees or budget debates or question period?
I feel like you should have known that CBC was government-funded before now.

Taking the photo because it is cute and fun is fine. Some kids love playing dress-up.
Orchestrating the photo so you will have it ready when your child lives out the life you have planned for them is a bit controlling and disturbing.

So...you're back at the negotiating table making a good faith and maybe even generous offer? Because that's probably the most important tool available to you.

I told partner that doctors would agree to perform a lobotomy/hysterectomy on a woman at her husband's request without her consent until about mid last century. He didn't believe me, looked it up, then couldn't believe he hadn't heard about that.
Catherine McKenna advocates for environmental causes! She'll be a great Environment Minister!
Approves and buys TMX pipeline.
Steven Guilbeault was arrested for his climate convictions. He'll be a great Environment Minister!
Approves Bay du Nord.
Are we doing this wrong?
Building the TMX pipeline through fire and flood does not show strength and courage. Canada could show strength and courage by admitting that the TMX was a bad idea, or is a bad idea now, and stopping.

Stores that enforce mask-wearing should have disposable masks available at the door for anyone who has forgotten theirs. That's the case at a lot of stores here. "Please wear a mask. If you've forgotten yours, please ask staff and one will be provided." Or just a box by the door.
I don't understand why the world is so broken. Why governments choose business over people, money over science. Why voters choose known liars over the possibility of the unknown. Why people who rely on science and expertise for living reject scientists and experts.
I hate it.

I love the original, but the piano version you released to promote awareness of children's cancer is my favourite. Thank you for being both smart AND compassionate.

The bestie of a man I dated when I was 23 was convinced I was lying when I said I didn't have a child because of the stretchmarks on my hips (bf had a pool). He NEVER believed that they were just because of a growth spurt in puberty. Later, I had a kid. No new stretchmarks.🤷♀️

Did the RCMP ever figure out what happened at the Coastal GasLink site? Was that actually a thing? Was it staged? How is that investigation going?
Remember Trudeau's electoral campaign pledge about camping? Is that why Kenney is closing parks in Alberta?
Is Kenney deriding camping the way MacKay belittles yoga? Is this another "I'm the opposite of Trudeau" thing?

Those pesky people on the right side of history. How dare they keep reminding us that the world needs our help. (Compared to the $12.6B the Cdn govt is happy to spend building the TMX, a fraction of $3M is small change.)
$23,000,000,000 is a really big number. Remember it when the federal govt asks you to be excited that they've spent $8,000,000 on green energy or housing.
Taxpayers have spent at least $23B on pipeline subsidies and supports since 2018: report

However did nature survive before people learned about raking the forest, and tidying out the logs, and things? It's a miracle any trees grew to be hundreds of years old at all without human intervention. Assuming you know anything about anything, and aren't just making shit up.
"I know a lot of people are suffering, but I'm not, so I think you should reward this government to ensure my personal ongoing comfort," may not be the compelling political argument you think it is.

Wet nurses. Whatever food was around that could be eaten would be fed to babies that needed to be fed. And breastfeeding was a thing more than ten years ago.
I have no idea what point these people are trying to make, but throughout history, babies that needed to be fed were fed.
BC is on fire. Below is the rough route of TMX. You can't really get from YEG to Burnaby without crossing the BC Interior. Now on fire. While we expand a pipeline through it. To carry more oil to fund the fight against climate change (???). Which is why we're on fire.

A male friend of mine once realised he had food poisoning in the process of taking a woman to bed, and tried to make apologies as he ran to the bathroom. When he came back, she was in tears because she thought he thought she was fat.
Sometimes, it's actually food poisoning.
Not only does 2020 suck, but it seems to suck particularly badly in Canada. So, to everyone who has some control over what life is like in Canada? Let's work together to reduce the level of suck.
Smile. Wash your hands. Say something positive. Be safe.
I'm done with the suck.

How is Leonardo DiCaprio a gatekeeper here? A gatekeeper to what?
He is a person voicing his opinion. By "Remove the gatekeepers," do you mean "Silence expression and dissent"?
Because, no.

Never heard of this, but it sounds like the premise of "Anne of Green Gables" where Matthew and Marilla asked for "a boy to help on the farm."
Minister Savage is complaining that enviros are attacking the war room.

If anyone (including the teacher) uses the wrong name or pronoun (wrong being not what the kid wants) for anyone in my kid's classes at school, all the students shout back the correct one, and shame whoever got it wrong.
