@Liv_F @Paulbyjove1 I know many many adults who have absolutely no idea that residential schools ran until 1993. My 70 yo mom retired teacher was absolutely gutted when she learned this. She was ashamed that as a mother & educator she had absolutely no idea it was happening.

@Liv_F As a secondary socials teacher for decades I can tell you we teach students these days to *question* herstory / teach historiography, too; no one 'story' is the whole one and *just when you think you know what REALLY happened - BAM!* :)
