HOW TO START INVESTING TODAY! [1/13]
Hi all, I’ve had a few messages from people about how to actually get started with investing, so I thought I’d provide a basic overview to encourage more people to start and take control of their own finances! 💸
Any retweets or shares would…
@LeeAndersonMP_
We should be celebrating everyone’s culture.
Britain is an accepting, multi-cultural and diverse place. I’m not a Muslim but I have respect for everyone regardless of their religion, ethnicity or belief.
This kind of hatred in the world is what causes wars and leads to…
@VictoriaAtkins
My gosh, such a load of rubbish to deflect from the Tory failure that has caused this crumbling NHS.
PAY DOCTORS FAIRLY and you will see how much of an impact that will have on rejuvenating our NHS.
You’ll be out of a job in 6 months anyway, but this is the very least you can…
@TheAthleticFC
This is the definition of bottling it. A squad that is basically the value of half the Championship clubs combined with parachute payments from the Prem.
A disaster.
@timecaptales
Always wondered how the Uber wealthy in the olden days actually protected their wealth without being kidnapped or having their money stolen 🤔
Like how did they actually keep $15 billion worth of wealth secure?
@AbbieTBee
What is this obsession with ‘doctors should just be happy with helping people’? Lawyers help people and I’m pretty sure they’re not paid £15 an hour.
@zackferguson
Thanks for sharing Zack. I don’t know how we have been striking for this long yet people still don’t seem to understand the wealth of experience ‘junior’ doctors can possess. The remuneration we receive is a pittance.
@funkomi
Angers me to no end when white, upper class people get away with this kind of thing, whereas a person of colour would end up in jail for the full 3 years (at the minimum)…
@drkeithsiau
I think there is a key lesson here for all consultants. Train your medical colleagues. Stop this nonsense of training AHPs in doctor’s roles.
Doctors who’ve trained tirelessly to get these opportunities deserve better. Above all, patients deserve better.
@FabrizioRomano
His reasoning for being utterly outplayed by a team that cost 1/10th of his is to say that Brentford should have won some games against big teams because they missed chances? Give me a break, Erik. United were lucky not to lose 5-1.
@MortytheRN
Nurses have saved me on more than one occasion. The job they do is so, so crucial. Thank you for questioning because it makes you re-think about whether it’s the right course of action or not!

@ExplosiveEnema2
@medicalmodelbri
@drcolinm
Okay, so you are basically saying that it’s complete and utter nonsense that a PA = ST3 level.
If that’s the case, then WHY is there such a disparity in this between yourselves and trusts.
It needs to be clear that PAs are NOT doctors.
They bring NOTHING extra to the table.…
@CFC_Finestt
I’m seeing so many people trying to normalise ‘if you won the penalty then you should take it’…
No. They aren’t playing playground football during break time in a primary school. These are professional footballers who should be disciplined and professional. The penalty taker is…
@doctor_dru_
I can’t imagine PBL ever being a good way to learn medicine.
I’m a big believer in the traditional system because the rigorous academic content in first and second year is an essential component of being a Doctor imo 🤷
@eason_thfc
Feel like it’s going under the radar because Ipswich aren’t a ‘sexy’ club with no real ‘star’ players but what they are is a fantastic cohesive unit, which (so far) has held off the ex Prem giants of Leeds and Leicester 🤝
@DrEilidhMaria
Don’t forget that ‘junior’ doctors ‘downtime’ involves working outside of the hospital to add to their portfolios and study for professional exams (which cost hundreds and sometimes thousands). Medical life is all consuming sometimes… for £15 an hour when at work.
@timricketts_
@timricketts_
it's not really a new thing that doctors in the UK are disrespected. Management teams actively want things to be done 'quicker and cheaper' so are happy to provide substandard care. Get your MRCP and leave for somewhere that actually values your rigorous academic…
@NHSHandSan
It’s almost like the free market and economics doesn’t apply to the NHS.
News flash, it does and everyone should ensure they get paid appropriate locum rates, and doctors please for the love of God, start investing or your savings will disappear and you’re going to be a slave…
@TVRJDC
@Doctors_Vote
@BucksHealthcare
This is beyond embarrassing. I don’t understand the premise for this. Why are they valuing a PA over a doctor? It genuinely makes no sense? What are trusts gaining from this?
@SecretPhysician
@DrEilidhMaria
The term ‘consultant nurse’ really irks me. Only the most senior medical professional in charge of the ward should be called by that title.
Then to be bossing doctors around, who the hell do they think they are?
@DrEilidhMaria
We DO NOT need more medical students. We need MORE training places and stat. Stop funding silly mickey mouse degrees like PAs and expanding their roles... invest in doctors, who are already highly qualified and willing to work hard for the future of the NHS. Enough is enough.…
@DrNeenaJha
This is a really good concept. I like this! When my parents were at medical school, their exams always had negative marking. It penalised those who were either overconfident or guessing. Didn’t know UCL did this but it’s a fabulous idea!
@GMCharlatan
@medicalmodelbri
What's going to happen is that every patient, at the start of every consultation, will just ask: 'are you a doctor?'.
It really is that simple. When patients refuse to start seeing them, then trusts will just have to stop hiring them because patients don't want to see someone…
@DrEilidhMaria
PAs are great for consultants. They don't rotate, they won't be competing for consultancy jobs and will do whatever the consultant in charge wants. It's almost like having your own personal assistant that does all the things you don't want to do.
Who cares about training…
@DrEilidhMaria
The people trying to guilt trip doctors to go to work for £15 an hour 🤣 Sorry Archibald I’ll stop striking when I get paid appropriately for the 12 A*s at GCSE, 5 A*s at A Level and the top 5% finish I achieved at med school to qualify in a profession I give my 100% everyday to
@IVfacts
I had such huge respect for Keith. It’s a big shame he’s chosen to go down the path of belittling and threatening his junior colleagues. Says a lot about him, unfortunately.
@ItsnotrightUK
Exactly how PAs should be used, and it just makes such a difference. Some specialities I’ve worked in, PAs have the role above and I can’t describe how much of a difference it makes to the efficiency of the ward. An excellent addition to the MDT if used well!
@drcolinm
@BobKlaber
@BMJLeader
@SueholdenNHS
@FMLM_UK
You’re a grown man going on about ‘kindness’ during an NHS crisis - you genuinely couldn’t make this crap up 🤣
We do NOT care about what you have to say, the PA project is dangerous and unacceptable. Just resign for everyone’s sake 👍
@DaleJohnsonESPN
This is a really important step to be honest. It’s infuriating when a keeper catches the ball and goes to ground for 10 seconds and takes another 20 seconds dawdling before releasing the ball.
When watching as a neutral, this ruins the game.
@OmgItsTania
The most embarrassing part of this is not that he's tory... It's the fact that he's SO proud of being a tory that he's chosen to display that on Hinge as he clearly sees that as an appealing quality to potential partners. Cringe.
@ExpectedChelsea
No this is a completely poor take. If you’re a killer, show it in open play. Not by taking the penalty away from the specialist in a crucial, potentially season-defining game. Madueke needs to stay in his lane.
@BMAstudents
I know some of my close friends going through this process at the moment and this is abhorrent.
Imagine ranking 9,000th in the country for deanery allocation AND getting the worst job in the least liked deanery...
@bmj_latest
The fact it’s taken 15 years for the government to do anything about this, whilst giving MPs a yearly increase in their own salaries is nothing short of disgusting.
@MiloKostusiak
There is absolutely no way ACPs or ANPs or PAs should be earning more than a doctor. End of.
Less responsibility = more pay. What is going on?!
This is madness. This is the UK in the 21st century.
Run by a bunch of 🤡🤡🤡.
@DeanCFC_
This is literally goal of the season.
From back to front this is a piece of footballing perfection. Much like the Palace goal on Sunday, which rightly got a lot of praise.
Finally feel as though it's all coming together for

When you consider the remaining games for Leicester, they could finish below Southampton. It's outrageous how quickly they've fallen...
@LouiseSophs
This is the issue, most PAs/ACPs I know are lovely people but the system is so broken that they’re given the opportunities over junior doctors who have substantially more training at the undergraduate level.
@mrnigeldsouza
@drkeithsiau
His contribution to medical education is fantastic and I personally love the fact he educates so many on here!
I think what a lot of people took issue with was his belittling responses and the threats he made towards juniors, you run the risk of not endearing yourself to the…
@bhavss14
I don’t think Saliba alone was that outstanding. It was a solid defensive unit as a whole. There were so many Arsenal players back that any individual error could be compensated for quite easily 🤷
Drab performance from both sides.
@MissMollyMole1
@LeeAndersonMP_
Gosh, I am not religious and I could note care less about a sign somewhere. I find it baffling that people genuinely care so much.
@Xeon4f145d96s1
I’m actually raging. This is the kind of nonsense that will drive out the best talent from this country, whilst the elite minds from other nations won’t even consider the UK as a place to live and work.
#nototheworkforceplan
@DrEilidhMaria
It should be exempt from Zero days. Nonsense that it is given as a ‘day off’. Weekend nights and then back in again on Wednesday morning. Earliest I should have the displeasure of stepping into those dingy corridors is Thursday. No one can convince me otherwise!
@DrEilidhMaria
Incredibly frustrating that there seems to be a significant number of consultants in this country who are intent on 'ladder pulling' the junior doctors and obstructing their training. Worrying times ahead...
@footballontnt
He’s got a point, his link up play in a lot of the big games is often abysmal. When a team plays in such a solid defensive unit, he has to be a lot better.
@CFCDaily
The season is over now. Nothing left to play for, the FA Cup is a foregone conclusion.
Need to seriously re-evaluate the state of our medical department. It's just unacceptable at the moment.

Yeah exactly what I thought, how do people have time to co-ordinate portfolios for anaesthetics, surgery AND ophthal for example? It’s madness.
@TheBMA
… but seriously what is the point if PAs can’t prescribe, aren’t ACTUALLY qualified to diagnose and manage patients and HAVE to be supervised by a senior clinician. What’s worse is that most get paid more than foundation doctors for being FAR LESS qualified.
@DrHuw
It’s funny because anyone can do ‘multiple medicine rotations’ and still not know anything.
5 years of medical school tends to be rigorous training with exams to prove competency throughout, if you’re not good enough you get kicked out.
Seems like now, if you’re not good enough…
@STRJDC
@RoyalSurrey
This is woeful. I swear the government are trying to devalue the profession little by little each and every day. Go to any other country in the UK and doctors are treated with respect and compassion.
I am starting to hate my very existence in this country. Something needs to…
@DrEilidhMaria
No, a medical degree is NOT too thorough. You cannot leave A levels and become even a barely competent clinician without the minimum 5 years. Two years is genuinely laughable to get anywhere near the required standard.
@annanovapage
@LeeAndersonMP_
What are you waffling about?
We should celebrate Christianity too! I also wouldn't mind seeing more public displays about Easter. I also don't have any issues with Ramadan either because I'm not a spiteful human being 🤷♂️
@DrEilidhMaria
This cannot be serious. Doesn’t feel like we are living in the real world anymore. In what world can a PA be considered for specialist medical pathways? No words honestly.
@afcjxmes
My gosh
@afcjxmes
, I don’t think anyone has sympathy for Saka diving in the last minute to win a penalty. You can’t force anyone to feel sorry for him when he had an open goal to aim at if he hadn’t stuck his leg out to make deliberate contact with Neuer…
