We have 423 wildlife sites identified as needing special conservation measures. The deadline for putting those measures in place was December 2014. We still haven't met it. For any of them.

The Oireachtas Climate Action Committee is discussing the media's role in communicating climate change & climate action. The Press Council was asked to attend but according to committee chair @BrianLeddin it said it 'couldn't usefully contribute'. I am taking to the bed now.

The National Mitigation Plan 'falls well short of the level of specificity required to comply with the law'. The plan, still the only statutory plan we have to address climate change, is therefore quashed. The Supreme Court finds in favour of Climate Case Ireland. #climatecaseire
