Here is some publicly available context. 3 of the 4 properties Amtrak wants are vacants. The 4th - 1016 N Payson - is a rental property the owner got for 11k in 2019. Amtrak is offering between 52k-85k for each property. Landlord is just mad his 4-8x windfall isn’t more.

There’s pushback on things like this or demolishing JFX but that’s just because they exist. We rightly see in retrospect how insane it was to want to crash freeways through Fed Hill, Fells, Canton, but somehow the places where it *wasn’t* stopped seem natural now, unchangeable.

Street cuts and striping are required to be restored to DOT specs within 120 days, including ones made by @MyBGE and @BaltimoreDPW . @BmoreCityDOT is fining BGE (more each day) for the things I’m reporting, and BGE is fixing them, but DOT needs a system that doesn’t rely on me.

Baltimore Sun: Bike lanes now extend to many Baltimore neighborhoods. And there are plans for more. Do you support the city’s bike lane effort?

No! Fractionalizing property ownership with some digital token scheme is the *opposite* of helping solve the vacancy issue. Instead of diminishing the responsibility problem, you’d be multiplying it! Plus, who owns a crypto wallet is even harder to prove than who owns an LLC.
