@zoerichardsuk The higher up the system, the worse the bullying is. There’s also a pack culture where a few very senior C-suite bullies work in concert. Sadly I often remind colleagues new to senior roles to wear mental body armour. The tactics used by the bullies are now quite sophisticated

How many #female or #ethnic minority candidates applied for CEO #NHSx , CEO . @NHSDigital or Transformation Director . @NHSEngland ? Were Ferris, Bolton & Gould - 3x white men - only applicants? Let me guess indefinitely interim or fixed term? Isn’t it #cronyism ? #recruitment #NHS

Yes an ambulance was requested because in their clinical opinion in the circumstances that was appropriate. How are you qualified to judge the resource was wasted?

@chrismullinexmp Chris I’m not sure if anyone’s explained how medical & dental education works but in England those in training have to not only pay significant tuition fees and accumulate debt but they’re also subjected to derisory terms & conditions, including much free labour.

I can see exactly how patients are left with no agency. This a tragic loss for medicine and an even bigger loss for his family. I expect the Trust may be defensive & could ‘lose’ records

@ERunswickBMA Emma - I really do feel that NHSE workforce (HEE) have overreached. As a former HEE TPD, this crosses a boundary that is not in the gift of an employer or their agent. I do hope @TheBMA @TheBDA let @NHSEngland know this is not acceptable. What gives them the right to interfere?

Very important distinction about white privilege. I do remember meeting after meeting where senior white leaders in the #NHS would reply to concerns raised by black colleagues, by citing their own experiences. Seemed to be a lack of acceptance. Great podcast @NHSProviders

@keithgrimes The constant transcription of data from one medium to another that is then relayed between providers is a system failing. It also leads to errors & in some cases is even unsafe. Let’s hope next version of digital transformation in the NHS tackles this.

@dr_merritt Simon, as CMOs we don’t always see everything, however us not recognising it should not in diminish the valid concerns of those in training who have been impacted by loss of opportunity. It’s real for those doctors in trainings. Sometimes we need to open our eyes to recognise it
