Here goes my tweet to say I have 'officially' joined
@beondeck
's

fellowship😅
Thank you to
@ModernAfflatus
&
@thisiskp_
for believing in me! Have learned so much abt 'no code' in a short span of time, ecstatic to keep learning with the other v enthusiastic
#ODNC3
fellows!☺️
Attended Show & Tell 001 from
@535Toronto
earlier this week.
Great start for the monthly Show & Tells.
The patty-pins are going to become a collectible in this city.
After taking some time (my bad), I’ve tried to recollect my memory of ALL of the shows that took place below 👇
planned to make summary tweets of everything in
#ODNC3
in the next couple of days but....these showcase sessions OMG!!
have to should out to
@PrabhjotSL
right now for , Ironman's Jarvis for us regular people!!!!! 😍🙈💯
@kaavyya
I actually think it was a v smart business move - the guy's a fitness trainer/fitness content creator? This move is for sure spiking searches for him way more than just being known as some dude who married an actor's daughter...straight up guerrilla marketing for his business imo
I'm participating in
@nocode_weekend
to build my no-code project over the weekend!
Join me and other participants from around the world this weekend to launch your next no-code project.
Joining
#ODNC3
to build products start-to-finish and help other enthusiastic fellows with their builds! Program hasn't even started but I've learned so much from them already, can't wait for Jan 2022🚀🚀🚀
Got around to trying on the
#buildinpublic
hoodie from . It's so snuggly! Can see it becoming my next go-to hoodie👌
Thank you once again
@thisiskp_
and
@garydarna
☺️
....time to actually start building in public😅excited for
#ODNC3
kick-off this weekend!
@tibo_maker
Interested! However, just an observation, the AI videos you are generating work better for Youtube shorts/Insta reels than tiktok. Tiktok is all about human faces and being personal and imperfect vs Instagram reels where things are more polished and these AI vids work best on
@atalovesyou
The biggest benefit is the quality of life (ONLY if you have a great secure job or a well funded founder). The perks you get are crazy compared to the rest of the world - they used to be better before to which they have started to limit. You end up living in a bubble however
Matt (
@mattespoz
) is one of the few I'm bullish on from Toronto!
-sold his first co at 19 (in 1 year)
-sold his second co at 22 (in 3 months)
Now he's building 12 companies in 12 months.
He is doing things differently than other builders I've seen who try to build a startup,
Exciting news: Journey+ has officially been acquired 🎉
1/ Here's the crazy story of how we built, scaled, and sold a company to private equity (in 3 months):👇
Attended
@KubeHuddle
at the Toronto Reference Library (who knew they had spaces to host events?).
It was my first ever Kubernetes event, and my brain is fried trying to grasp everything.
Grateful to have had many introductory talks in between and some were so wholesome.
been living like a nomad for ~2 months but now I'm back home and able to be on my laptop properly!! apologies to anyone I've ghosted but I'm getting back to those emails/slack messages in the next week :)
also excited to share some of my

SO I put away my phone, went and asked if the package they were delivering was possibly mine? and it was ☺️
their face lit up as it made their job much easier! Finished the day with large smiles >>> small complaints
Feeling
@lychkel
's genuine dedication in every session!
For those uncertain about design, I can't recommend enough to attend this or the next one if you don't get a spot.
I feel design will be the differentiator as coding becomes more automated with AI and no-code tools.
hey! back from my break and this is happening again :) on may 15, i'll be teaching the basics of visual design through a hands-on project alongside some lovely mentors including
@noviachao

@heykabs
i really care about maximizing the experience of each attendee so it

I first learned about
@gumroad
from
@vensykrishna
's youtube channel! And can't believe I didn't know about that platform before.. cuz now it's one of my favs!
Lots to learn from that channel! Highly recommend it :)
P.S. with 2x speed, the entire channel can be binged in a day!
Newbie to No Code, came across us just now, and still want to build something this weekend?
Got you covered 🙃
Check out this thread of tutorials by

Still beaming from last night’s Off the Record talk with
@gregisenberg
- and today’s weather is helping! ☀️
Grateful for the real talk and stories, which are hard to come by on the internet.
The thoughts shared really clicked with some recent conversations I’ve been having,
@agarcher
12. smartArm -
@HamayalC
created the first bionic arm using vision. He was the only person who had hardware to show.
This guy was too humble in his show. He's been building robots before humanoids got hype.
I saw him win a UofT hackathon on campus back in 2018. He then went
1/ this random englishman is in Toronto and pulled a guerrilla marketing campaign and someone on twitter needs to talk about it- so I am!
He placed this whiteboard nearby Union Station - the area with the most foot traffic possible on a Wednesday
@535Toronto
1. Notification API -
@_sahand
created an API for developers to quickly build notifications into their apps.
The API handles things like scheduling and delivery methods (email, SMS, etc.) for notifications.
The notifications can be designed by non-technical team members and
@dontdoitjoe
I had the same thoughts so I have been creating a webapp with Toronto’s “hidden spots”, it’s not muuuch, but it’s still something 🤷♀️

4 spots left for the private screening of Join or Die documentary in Toronto!
It's based on the book Bowling Alone, which sheds light on alarming trends affecting community life. I think it's relevant to all countries post-pandemic, not just US.
should touch upon...
- Rising
Watched a film recently that was really good.
It's all about the loneliness epidemic and why communities matter way more than meets the eye.
The best part? You can only see it at a screening, since they're trying to bring ppl together.
No Netflix. No HBO. No Hulu. You have to

And so were the details.
The 3D-rendered spinning patty, with its little burnt crust and flake detail, has me greatly appreciating all the other thoughts and work that went into organizing the event.
It definitely resulted in the collective

@ftnabeelah

how do we archive the past (or do we?) and how do we fix going forward?

also trying very hard to not be intimidated by
@Gokul_Madan
and
@elorrainewong
who've submitted some awesome polished work!!
repeating "they are on their own journey, I am on mine" or some other self-discovery line over and over again would be the actual HONEST answer 🤡

💎 How to get style points
Below is a (subjective) flowchart I put together of my takeaways.

2. Craft Resume -
@syedaminx
created a tool to customize resumes for EACH job application. That’s pretty major, as every job-hunting tool out there changes bullet points, which you can now do with chatgpt for free.
There are also Chrome extensions that you can quickly apply to
uh-ohhhh a winner of previous
@nocode_weekend
has entered the chat🙈and his design skills have improved SO much since the last time!! always a big fan of directories😍
Just started on my project for
@nocode_weekend
. I'm going to be working on a directory of resources that No-code (and code) builders can use to polish up the designs on their app.
Thanks to
@lowcodekrish

@TweetMetaMike
and
@ftnabeelah
for the idea🙂

Come back and visit Toronto -
@nocodeandy
hosted another no code social yesterday which had people drive HOURS to get to 🥹 the next one will be with
@NoCodeNorth
focused on Webflow too!
Wishful thinking to have a North American No Code conference sometime in the future!
i have been undergoing training for a new role at work and i wish i could tweet the whole thing cuz it feels like i'm living in a real-time sitcom + thriller at the same time
THE DAY WAS NOT OVER when
@thisiskp_
messaged to say I was one of the 2
#buildinpublic
challenge winners, chosen at random of course. Congratulations to
@lowcodekrish
for being the other winner!🎉
8. Clear Estate -
@dhasandev
is creating a tool to simplify legal documents using AI. It analyzes documents and displays the most important data in an easy-to-understand format to help non-experts understand complex legal talk.
Imagine actually understanding when you’re signing
@535Toronto
@_sahand
@syedaminx
@saleh_digital
4. Parlay Seminars -
@annalysis7
spoke about software built for class discussions and providing full discussion courses for homeschooled students.
The goal is to help students build the skills to present ideas in front of peers, get feedback, build on ideas, and disagree
@dhasandev
9. Posty -
@melkuo
created a way to design and send custom postcards easily. Imagine Hallmark cards, but modernized.
She used no-code tools like
@bubble
to build the entire thing. It’s cool to see how even non-technical people can be out there building stuff.
She got her idea
@sahilkhosla
@nocodeandy
I barely got to speak to anyone as I had such lovely deep conversations with the few people I did around to speaking too! Hopefully will get around to the others at the next event :)
7. Hera Fertility -
@thivz
works in the fertility space and recently launched a fertility testing kit for men.
The kit is already approved by FDA and Health Canada - anyone who has worked in healthcare will know what a big feat that is.
I have been following Thiv’s work for a
I really want to know the story of how
@ProductHunt
came to name their 'Best of...Awards' as
#GoldenKittyAwards
?
Was it just cuz
@rrhoover
liked cat memes? Was it cuz they planned to send Golden Kitty statues to winners????? whaaat was itttt

hoodies can still be purchased at for anyone who wants one! The site was built in public by
@garydarna
which he shared on this thread for anyone interested :)
Unlike Rome, an e-commerce store can be built in a day (or even a few hours).
So when
@thisiskp_
decided to make these hoodies, I pointed out that it would be fitting to share the entire process to launch his
#buildinpublic
store.
In this thread, I'll do just that...
Learning more about this space day by day. It’s wild, how this isn’t more raged upon.
@dhh
was onto something, have an eye out for more companies who’ve left the cloud and how it’s been going for them!
@535Toronto
@_sahand
@syedaminx
3. Falcon -
@saleh_digital
created a tool to make designing 10x faster. It’s basically a command-line tool for designing.
Imagine typing to design rather than click, drag, click.
He mentioned adding accessibility-focused features for future versions, which I truly
@ivanesro
@a_schweickert
I was in the Scavenger Hunt group and hopped on in the end and feel like I missed some sick memes! Had to grab my phone real quick for this Feta one haha
@jspujji
The fact I love about him is how he owns only 5% of the company and has given more equity to his sister(47.8%) and brother (35.2%)
Is working out great in the divorce mess!
5/ I will say this unequivocally: I never ever transferred my shares in the company to anyone else. I lived in the US for the first 24 years of our 27 year history and much of what constitutes the company was built in India. That is reflected in the ownership.
11. Super Block Boy & Friends—
@agarcher
is creating a puzzle-oriented game that gives you a Super Mario-type play.
He's clearly very passionate about building this game, as he’s building it part-time. He even created the music himself using AI, which was beautiful and
