Whatever you do, don’t track number of PRs, or frequency of deploys to production! Otherwise your team might optimise for quickly shipping tonnes of smaller, less risky, easier to review changes to game the numbers, and that’d mean… well… erm… hang on a minute 🤨🤔

I worked in fintech for ~8 years and saw some v. hairy banking incidents, but this one from @Rippling beats them all, I think. Only 3.5 hours to arrange funds, prep and submit accurate bank files to a new bank and ensure 50k people got paid 🤯 👏

We just hit PR #10 ,000 at @incident_io ! 🎉 It's for a new (very exciting) feature so I won't share a screenshot but here's a fun graph instead 📈 Wild that it took us ~7 months to hit the first 1000 and only ~40 days for the last 🤯
