RE: #DoctorWho RTD/Davros. I don’t wanna bang on, but… This kid is me aged 5. I had Perthes’ disease, was registered disabled and often used a wheelchair. Some kids were kind, some stared at me. RTD is thinking of this kid and kids like him. As a grown man, that means a lot.

When I worked at the BBC, we’d get sent the viewers log, detailing emails/calls/letters about specific shows and channels. Every single day there were complaints about black, LGBTQ+ and even disabled people appearing on shows, so 144 complaints is unsurprising and will be ignored

I think a lot of concern about changing Davros comes from a truth we fans often swerve: #DoctorWho is made primarily for kids. If they can avoid showing a villain in a wheelchair because it risks giving kids negative ideas about disabled people, then they absolutely should.
