@GChristiemd @Mickolas9 I’m bisexual and if I saw that flag, I’d feel more like he’d understand me rather than be prejudiced against me. We spent centuries hiding away because people like you claim it’s about a badge but actually wish we didn’t exist, so deal with your own issue and leave us alone

I've literally been called a fag or a fairy or queer by so many patients over my career simply because I have a higher voice and wear a pride flag. And despite this, I'm somehow able to overlook this and still take care of them.

@Mickolas9 Would you consider the idea that wearing political symbols in a professional setting is intentionally provocative and unprofessional? I believe we should be simply human to our patients, not mark out our little political fiefdoms for them to bear.

@GuyLambertUK @GChristiemd @Mickolas9 Totally this. I've been to the Dr and I've held back on saying certain things out of fear of being judged. It could make the world of difference to some people to know they feel safe to be open.

@GuyLambertUK @GChristiemd @Mickolas9 I’m straight, and if I went to their ER and saw them wearing a pride flag, I’d feel like this is someone who became a physician because they accept and care about marginalized people, and I’d be pretty damn happy with getting treatment by them!
