Composer & song crafter 🎶 blending earworm melodies with cinematic flair. Doodler, film and lit buff, video game music fan & explorer of philosophy. Hi
@nadiaudio
I remember when HZ went berzerk on VI-Control over a composer who had made a youtube video criticizing a sample library that had HZ's name in the title.
@NotABigJerk
If I remember correctly he said in a documentary that it wasn't even a track he had high hopes for, it was something he picked out from a bunch of earlier demos.
@justky1018
This reminds me of a joke I heard from Slavoj Zizek: a man is painting a woman in the nude and during one of their breaks they are having coffee, she has a robe on, the man hears his wife's car and says, "quick, take off your robe or my wife will suspect we are having an affair."
@cremieuxrecueil
I once read a study that followed married men who regularly visited a club for homosexual relations. 98% of the participants didn't see this as cheating.

From the diary of Aztep II, Ramses' cousin: "When the pizza arrived the workers discovered there was pineapple on it and this led to merriment and a newfound rapport between the workers and middle management, and shortly after they all had a laugh, the work continued."

I'm in several AI art groups on fb and they are what one might call 'safe spaces'. People are kind to each other and often remind others to use AI for good, "ethically".
I'd like to believe that's possible, but knowing how people are, knowing how internet users are (ie 4chan)...

Noah and Meadow were too entitled and too focused on their romantic life to give a damn about the room-mate who was clearly spiralling deeper into her own depression. Their relationship with her could be seen as an allegory of society as a whole imo.
@libhawkish
This reminds me of the Seinfeld episode where George gets a massage from a man and is very uncomfortable throughout the entire procedure. Later, as he is telling Jerry how uncomfortable it really was, he confides that he thought, and I quote, "it moved".
@Orugario_
This is why AI cannot and should not be copyrightable. There is currently a concerted effort to "educate" the US Copyright Office by a leading figure in the AI art movement, and though it seems so ridiculous to me, but this is precisely where we are.

I was attracted to one of the popular girls in my middle school class. She rejected me, and I though, "oh well, it happens". My friends also busted my balls but it was forgotten after maybe a week or two.
I noticed in the video he mentioned he was always alone...

If he kept repeating the situation in his head and getting more and more obsessed with her, with no friends to help take away the pressure of the event, it's no wonder that this single rejection is still playing a major role in his life.

The AI-generated comic book that went viral after the U.S. Copyright Office didn't grant a copyright had omitted that little nugget of information in the original proposal (the Copyright Office only found out because the author went viral on reddit). Go figure.
Very happy and honored to be a part of the

Thanks for your continued support, guys! 🙏

@punished_cait
MrBeast is so good at being Pavlov at this point I wouldn't be surprised if in two years he is Head of PsyOps Division for the CIA or something.
@TheWapplehouse
I once wrote that Star Wars had been saved in the edit by George Lucas' wife and kept getting angry replies telling me I was wrong and stupid for 5 days straight.

I used to work at a private language school and one summer my manager hired a new guy to come and help us with the kids groups. Well, new guy would often not flush the toilet and so I confronted him about it. His measly excuse: "I'm from California and this is how we did it."
@SamtanicPanic
He lays in his own piss for hours on end, scope locked on the target's home, every hair raised and unmoving. He is silent, he is still, he is focused. Adrenaline and heart rate are stable. He is master of his own baseline. Target is due to open the door in 10". Sweat beads form.
@TheWapplehouse
I once taught English to a group of German footballer students and they shared a bit of wisdom with me: "Everything in life has an end, only sausage has two."
We'd start every lesson with me writing that on the blackboard, they loved seeing it in English.
Quit my teaching job, started making music full-time. Scored two theatrical plays. Started working for a music publisher, started a podcast with my best friend. Wrote some of my best music this year and had one of my songs on a top 20 radio chart.
Also wrote a song for a film.
This is your invitation to unabashedly brag about what you've accomplished this year in the real world. Do not hold back. Someone will read and become inspired. Share in replies!

Great work!
This is yet another example of the tech developing faster than we've developed as a species. It's like, yes, you can document your kid's life a la The Truman show, but what are the consequences and how will affect both you and the child?
