There are good reasons why things like time series analysis, cross-over trials due to change in practice, routine data collection analyses, ex-vivo tissue work covered by HTA regulations don’t need ethics. Likely because the proximal geometry was changed - lateral wall thinned and flattened to take the wider cannulation for injection. Notching happens with most nails at points but this nail has a highs failure rate

We clearly desperately need more women in orthopaedic trauma but I think we all knew that. So important particularly in #trauma to be #representative

Quick BOFAS audit of who does what and then a HES linked audit would give the answer with reasonable power and accuracy.

It provides a more rounded view hence posting it of introduction of the implant and some problems associated. The fracture issues are probably quite rare - the TFN vs TFNa paper (goodenough) reports a 0.2 vs 0.06% failure rate via lag screw hole fracture

It’s a way of NHS to fund However think about TARN - of the 17 ORIF sites 4 currently don’t have TARN administrators. It’s a fundamental problem - the NHS uses band 2/3 staff for these crucial jobs…

The mechanical axis of the femur doesn’t change but the more valgus the nail is the more stress concentration their is in the nail. Flats etc are then machined.

I remember moving house was at the top followed by death of a parent. I wonder what the other positions would be today.
