Today our patient Mick Pickering was discharged from hospital after spending 110 days with us while we helped him to recover from the coronavirus.

Nellie Evans, 96, had a fall and fractured her pelvis in 4 places. We gave her a minimally-invasive operation called sacroplasty, which saw bone cement injected into her tail bones. 2 days after her op, Nellie could walk again! Well done

Yes, we have them outside our hospitals. Great produce, stall-holders always have a smile on their face and a chat - even in bad weather. Fantastic value. Makes it easier for our shift-workers to pick up healthy food. Jacket potatoes “as big as yer ‘ead” as we like to say!

leukaemia patient Amy and her family have been racing against time to find a stem cell donor, working against falling sign-ups. We are very pleased to share that a match has been found and Amy is due to receive a transplant soon 💙
Today (29 Dec), we declared a critical incident due to the large number of people arriving at our Emergency Department. We're asking our local communities to help ease pressures on our hospitals & support us to safely discharge patients.
