At governor’s residence: a racist old white woman CHOKED out a 13 year old Black girl. Put both hands around this girl’s neck. Crowds escorted this woman out. 20 cops on bikes proceeded to walk this woman up the street to her car. Cops refuse to take a report. They don’t care.
unreal. no words. the scene outside the ‘kollege klub’ in Dinkytown. on June 13th. during the middle of a global pandemic. that has killed 400,000 and counting. a 1/4th of that being in the U.S. alone.
Kim Potter is currently sitting in the comfort of home, out on $100,000 bail and guarded while many of my fellow arrestees are still locked up, in jail downtown — with many more to join them in the days & weeks to come — for protesting the state-sanctioned murder of Daunte Wright

This is obscene.
The City could‘ve used funds to buy and retrofit this building, empty for a year, into housing for St. Paul’s unhoused population.
they’re instead leasing it to train cops to mass arrest protesters - the furthest thing from "mutual aid"

They detained me with my backpack still on. The zip ties behind my back were so tight my hands became swollen. It took comrades yelling for them to re-cuff me. They took their damn time and had me wait 15 minutes alone all while my circulation was being cut off.
Peoples hands are turning colors, swelling up, and heating up. These are all signs of circulatory damage. I’m so grateful we have a medic on this bus. We’re asking repeatedly but they are now refusing to re-cuff someone who is literally losing feeling on their hands...

St. Paul renters + community tirelessly poured time/energy/stories into this historic policy win — collecting signatures & fighting to pass, then preserve it
only for Mayor/Council to go against renters & gut it in favor of corporate developers/landlords
