The vent that folks had camped on outside Amundson Hall is now an anti-homeless structure... guarding an outdoor air vent that kept our unhoused neighbors alive this winter + warm last fall. this institution cares about public image, not vulnerable community members. Sickening.

My first time on campus in a while & the first thing I saw. This street-level vent was virtually the only on-campus heat source outdoors during last winter’s polar vortex. All sides blocked with concrete jersey barriers & despicable 8ft tall fencing. Unsure how long it’ll last.
