In addition to weight, cities should also be regulating vehicles by grill height. It’s bad getting hit in the legs and falling onto the hood, but a 20 mph collision with a pedestrian is more likely to be lethal when impact is in the chest or head and you fall to the pavement.

Florida is charging formerly incarcerated people $50 a day even if they’re no longer in prison. The “pay to stay” fee is based on the length of the original sentence, so even when they're released they must keep paying for a prison bed they’re not using.

This sort of attitude could be forgiven in 2016 when Trump was an unknown, and you might reasonably think he could be better than Democrats on a couple issues, or that his chaos would bring about needed change. But with the benefit of the hindsight of his first term, it’s absurd.

Example: @NoMaBID does movies Wednesdays at Alethia Tanner Park. From Trinidad, it’s a 45 minute walk, or 30 to drive, pay to park (good luck), and haul stuff. Or I can fit both kids, 3 chairs, a blanket and table on my e-cargo bike, get there in 10 minutes, and park on the spot.

@granthpaulsen @JoshKraushaar You’re comparing a team that plays 8 times a year on Sundays to teams that play 40+ times, mostly on weeknights. Also, football games are all-day affairs with tailgating and such. A nhl/nba game is something to pop over to after work. It’s apples and oranges.
