@ARomeoSierra @cybrtrkguy The typical automotive environment is a lot noisier than most PoE applications, and the safety ramifications of failure much more dire. I agree it should be soluble, resulting in a huge reduction in harness complexity, but it's not a trivial problem.

@SawyerMerritt They still don’t get it. Watch a football game, there are 30 car & truck ads. People still think EVs are expensive and have low range and that charging is an issue. Tesla’s “digital” ads do little to address any of these.

@TSLAFanMtl How does it change everything? Even if it works perfectly, it's a "nice to have" feature, not a "must-have", for the majority of customers, and at $12K non-transferrable it's very easy to say no. Will have to be a LOT less expensive for mass uptake.

@n_fiction @cvalente28 Optimus doesn't necessarily have to work outside in the rain and fog and snow at 80mph in unexplored territory with peoples' lives at stake. FSD is nice and works pretty well, but "robotaxi" is far from a slam-dunk. And Optimus is way easier to build than a car.
