So So So Good! Whoever worked on the lane change neural nets at Tesla deserves a big promotion. Watch how safely FSD Beta 11.4.2 changes lanes while being mindful of cars and trucks from two lanes over merging at the same time, while also keeping flow of traffic, and finally
Wow! FSD Beta shows super human awareness of surrounding, avoiding blocked path before I could see it with my own eyes. Second example in this video is even more impressive.
Now imagine when Tesla cars eventually start talking to each other… 🤯
The future is bright with Tesla
There is zero room for error here. 😬
The ability for FSD v12.3 to judge if an opposing car is going to stop or go on a yellow light is exceptional. This left on yellow is one of the most risky maneuvers to execute and I’m so glad that the team has worked on getting this
Dangerous left turn handled exceptionally well by FSD v12.3
If you live in LA you will know that these unprotected forward facing left turns are the most dangerous part of driving here. And they are all over the city.

FSD 12.3.3 *vision only* parallel auto park is awesome! The accuracy is quite remarkable.

To celebrate record Tesla delivery numbers, here is FSD Beta mocking me in the latest edition of the highway lane change challenge. I gave it only half a mile to change 5 lanes to take the exit to Taco Bell. Are we gonna make it?
Spoiler: this is about the most natural and well
I got a good joke for you. So 3 humans and a Tesla FSD 12 are driving up to a red light. What did FSD say to them when they got to the light? Nothing, because none of the humans stopped. Bahahaha 😫
FSD 12 vs 11 improvement: Watch this flawless execution of this left turn it hasn’t been able to make in over a year. Just look at the stability of the steering wheel and blue line and note the difference from before. Impressive! 👏

@Tesla_AI
Tesla Autopilot/AI team deserves some more love! ❤️ Watch FSD Beta safely navigate between two trucks and smoothly reach the right turn lane. This highway off-ramp is particularly challenging for humans due to limited visibility, but Tesla's vision only system conquers it!
Woweee!!! 🔥😬🔥This FSD 12 left turn is both extremely impressive and at the same time heart attack inducing. Let’s fire up the comments on this one. (PS I’m now accepting donations for depends 😰)

The spatial awareness on FSD 12 is unreal. 🤯 Over and over again it makes smart, swift, and natural actions to move away from blocked/stopped/slowing lanes. I could show examples of these to you all day and each one is beautifully executed.

FSD 12 negotiates a tight space flawlessly. In this example watch how it looks ahead and peeks out to check for clearance before yielding to opposing car. It’s doing extremely well in these scenarios. 👏

After two weeks of driving on FSD Beta 12.2.1 here is my updated personal survey of all the features/behaviors I’ve been tracking since I started testing more than a year ago. If something is not on the list it’s probably a 1/10 or I’ve never encountered it (or both)

All of them.

We need to make a right at the light but blue bus is blocking the turning lane. So what do we do? We follow the orange bus in front who makes the turn from the straight lane? But then we get caught in the red light. What happens now?!
@elonmusk
FSD 12.2.1 is extremely confident when it comes to avoiding lane blockage and seeks for a lane change at the earliest opportunity it gets. In this example it detects a line of cars waiting at a drive thru entrance and threads the needle between two adjacent moving cars very

I have a buddy who works for Cruise. Understandably biased and super skeptical of Tesla’s approach to autonomy. I gave him a ride once last year on FSD v11. FSD froze in the middle of the first big intersection making an unprotected left turn with a bus approaching us rapidly
All FSD users will be pleased to find out that all the erratic, annoying, and nonsensical “changing lanes to follow route” have disappeared in V12. So you will finally get to relax a little extra on your drives.
