Perhaps this needs to be fed down to the media, instead of the money then the general public would have more education on how the NHS is being run
@kt__hutchinson
Then maybe you should highlight this to the hospital managers, CQC and the BMA. As when something happens you have a record
of reporting this.
@DrRosemaryL
I am also getting increasingly angry, when I want to see my GP, my triage is done by a paramedic, what do they know about gynae problems. As far as I am concerned a paramedic should be doing paramedic work. To many blurring of boundaries. Very dangerous
@DrHFRyan
The problem is with professionals in the NHS, they all think they can be Doctors, they should all stick to there competencies and profession they trained in. Blurring of boundaries is dangerous

Return to traditional titles. We had 2 GP liason practitioners in a team I worked in, they were healthcare assistants with fancy titles. Patients used to ring and ask to speak to the Doctors, disappointed when told they were not Doctors.

I can assure you I am not a troll, I love the NHS, just because someone raises an issue that you do not like does not give you the right to be rude
@Nedu_MD
I to was going to be discharged from my local hospital in 2010, only for my husband and A&E nurse, arguing with the doctor. I had appendicitis, nearly expired. I am white, it was put down to a lack of experience by the junior doctor.

This has been encouraged by allied health professionals for years, NHS titles need to be clear, Consultant, Mr, Doctor, sister, staff nurse etc. all patients need to know.
@EmergMedDr
Unfortunately the grass is not always greener, having recently been to Canada and the USA, cost of living is a lot higher, hence higher wages
@DrEilidhMaria
I have been to Canada many times this year, they are having the same problems as us, homeless on the street, massive drug problems and food prices are extortionate. The grass is not always greener for everyone
@DrGrumpy
@Natashacocozza_
When I started nursing 40 years ago the majority of Doctors and Nurses were foreign. A lot of my colleagues left for Australia and USA, then came back. Nothing new here
@Dr_BellaR
GPS will always be needed. My surgery has a paramedic triage all appointments, I refused this, sorry but what do they know about gynae problems. I always request to see the GP.
@DrHFRyan
Sat in my local hospital waiting for my daughter. Waiting in Costa. Health professional in uniform typing up her notes, where is patient confidentiality. Person sat behind can read her screen.
@SaraTon08500527
When I rang my GP practice for a medical issue, was told to go online and the paramedic would triage. I told the surgery that I wanted a doctor and I got a doctor. This is what happens when boundaries get blurred
@DeanEggitt
For to long now, healthcare professionals all think they are Doctors. Stop the blurring of boundaries. Had this recently with paramedics, said my mum did not need antibiotics, next thing in hospital, seen by a doctor antibiotics.

Maybe if they stopped comparing wages with politicians the public might take them seriously. NHS staff do get perks, they have great terms and conditions compared to others. I know because I have been a nurse for over 37 years
