I’m in BC. Had my first experience with a vaccine passport. Alberta’s MyHealthRecords app is clunky, but works along with a piece if ID. BC’s passport is simple, easy, and effective. Let’s go Alberta. Get on this bandwagon or risk being left behind.

I have been friends with @shandro for many years. Tyler did as much as anyone I know to create the UCP - all in a volunteer capacity. He is a true public servant who did his best in trying and difficult circumstances. I remain proud of him, his work, and our friendship.

If Canadians are offered: 1. Monthly income tested cash benefits to offset childcare costs. vs 2. A promise that government will somehow make childcare cost $10/day while eliminating all private childcare providers. 7 out of 10 Canadians will take #1 , 19 times out of 20.

This is such an important point. The idea that the @CPC_HQ path to victory lies in “reclaiming PPC votes” is 🦇 💩 😜. Their voters are mostly anti-authority populists who take pride in voting for parties that can’t win. (To twist the old saying “Don’t blame me, I voted PPC!)

I have two daughters and two grandkids in Lethbridge. I’d love more of the latter. All of which to say: I know first hand (ok, maybe second hand) that this is a serious, serious issue. It’s a key reason why both Lethbridge ridings will go solidly NDP next month.

I believe the earth is warming and support a hefty carbon tax to deal with it. Still, I find it odd that folks who tweet eye-rolls at deniers who question global warming during a winter cold snap are the same folks who quickly point to global warming during a summer heat wave.

The rest of Alberta’s carbon emissions are taxed by the Trudeau government and the revenues go to the Trudeau government and the money is spent by the Trudeau government …in Alberta. I am not making this up. You’d think Alberta-first types would rather keep that money here.

Hilarious. The proposed NDP dental plan is, in actual fact, a mixed public/private system. It will allow private dental care to exist alongside public dental care. In other words, the NDP dental plan is the Trojan Horse that will end Universal Public Healthcare.
