47% of Canadians say that canโ€™t afford to miss work because of the coronavirus because they have no benefits or anything to fall back on.

We may be headed into a major recession or a depression. Mass layoffs are underway, and businesses won't hire back as quickly or as many during recovery due to the software and hardware automation we have now that we didn't during 2008. #basicincome #ubi is how we bounce back.

@JohnWrightLive Absolutely. My mortgage broker isn't isolating my monthly payments, and with my fam at home, we're going through food faster.

@JohnWrightLive I live in a small town east of Ottawa. The fast-food places are drive-thru only. The barber and hairdressers are closed The sit-down restaurants are delivery only The pharmacy is restricting the number of people in the store. This has to be hurting

@JohnWrightLive Public sector takes most of it, always has, particularly last 10 years. To pay for them the rest of us are broke. Not rocket science.

@JohnWrightLive I know a family where the son had to quit his unsanitary grocery job (no masks, gloves, sanitizer) because of his mother's lung disease...he lives with her. Too terrified that he might infect her. These are the choices people are making. Dreadful.

@JohnWrightLive Maybe we should look at what Denmark is doing, and it was agreed upon by all 10 parliamentary parties from Far Left to Far Right.

@JohnWrightLive More than a 2 hour wait to speak to some financial institution to defer mortgages, if you qualify. Phone lines at Service Canada are busy, can't get Employment Insurance benefits. We want people to stay home? @JustinTrudeau do more!

@JohnWrightLive @SGirardau Try being an SP fighting for the life of your business. The stress of this is insane!! Anger holds a large part! I built my business from literally nothing, just signed a contract to expand & BLAMO this hits. Our livelihoods in jeopardy because of EVIL wastes of skin & corruption
