If you want public dental care, you should go into provincial politics, not federal politics. Ironically, not a single provincial NDP government has implemented public dental care.

@KenBoessenkool it's a good thing, then, that the feds took the leadership to implement universal health care, working with the provinces. y'know, instead of leaving it up the provinces to not do it

@KenBoessenkool Only the federal government has the fiscal capacity to pay for these programs. That was how Medicare was established. This allows national standards and portability in areas that are constitutionally the responsibility of the provinces.

@KenBoessenkool In BC we don’t even have regular public health care with our NDP government. Massive family doctor shortage. Who knows how many diseases will be late diagnoses as a result, and only a matter of time until we start seeing outcome statistics reflect that.
