To all those men asking why these women & girls didn’t go to the police, take a 30 second scroll through Twitter and if you still don’t know why look in the mirror.

To be fair if someone says they don’t know then I tend to try and describe in more detail, like 2 is annoying niggle, 5 is definitely need some painkillers, 7 and above is awful and desperate for pain relief.
@Revolutionteach
Wrong. It’s the dogs owners responsibility to keep the dog under control. It’s the parent’s responsibility to keep the kid under control. That way they’re both safe.

The fact you think they’d even need to wait that long suggests you don’t believe a word women say. The last time I was in a club the dance floor was lined by predatory men, I was dragging my friend away from men trying it on because she was drunk at least once every 1/2hr!

This breaks my heart that American patients have to do this. It’s SO wrong, our transplant patients go through enough but at least they don’t have to prove they can afford it to be listed!

Exactly they are three so generally shouldn’t be loose and unsupervised which this child was. Do they also let the three year old run in the road?

I’ve never ever known a nurse to lie about their competence & surely as a nurse on the ward I’m more likely to know if they’ve been signed off to do so? Pretty offensive. For the record the ward I work on the nurses all do bloods.

You’re missing the point. The cost of living has gone up significantly more than our wages. Yes we knew the pay when we started but now it’s worth a lot less!

My mum goes deaf every two months despite using oil. She has managed to keep her micro suction on the NHS (for now) but they’ll only do one ear now! She can’t afford to pay for it. Madness!
Poor lady collapsed on path, stopped to help. Had lovely feedback from other passers by about how I spoke to her & even had my handover complimented by the paramedic. Nice to have that reassurance you’re in the right job ❤️
I agree there is a climate emergency. I agree homes need insulated. This guy is damaging the cause just as much as his protestors putting an elderly lady in hospital. He hasn’t got his own home insulated.

@DrIpFeed4
This is horrific! Our doctors use our ward kitchen and staff room just the same as we do & they have two offices and a second desk also! I’m so glad we don’t treat our drs like this!
@emilykmay
My brother aged 2 got out of the cot, down the stairs, out of the locked front door while we were all in bed. Luckily decided to wait at the end of the garden path - not sure how long he was there.
We don’t want to strike. We want our patients to be safe - with current pay & conditions there aren’t enough nurses to keep patients safe. We are being pushed to strike as the government isn’t taking patient safety seriously!

She’s a nurse. She’s been a nurse for many years. Then an ACP for two. Nobody is saying she’s a consultant dr. I’m shocked at how many medical professionals are jumping on this poor woman.

Also better conditions for nurses means things like better patient to nurse ratios which also means better, safer care for patients!
@Revolutionteach
An adult? Yes. To keep them safe. You cannot rule out all dangers in the world & if you can’t teach someone about them then occasionally this will be necessary.
@MyrtleMackenzie
@DrAmirKhanGP
Well this is insulting. Do you want your nurses to know what your meds are? To notice it’s been prescribed wrong or even dangerously, to be able to assess your condition and take the best course of action? We’re not just bed baths and hand holding.
Rishi says they are taking URGENT action by creating 7,000 more hospital beds.
No mention of the nursing staff we are already missing.
No mention of the staff for said 7,000 beds.
No mention of the crisis they’ve created.

I mean it’s quite a leap to expect those who stay in England for holidays are all living it up at centre parks. My family couldn’t have afforded passports let alone a foreign holiday. She’s not saying foreign holidays are snobby but implying a UK hol isn’t a holiday is.
@Revolutionteach
If you’re dog doesn’t like humans in a dangerous manner for sure take them quiet places and keep them on a lead, doesn’t remove the risk. This was a service animal and a three year old who SN of not could be picked up…

Functional IT so we don’t waste hours of clinical time finding a tablet that works to do obs and has a functioning obs machine attached, preferably ones that restart without being taped together…
What a nasty nasty man. The police were right, cared about saving face, about his daughter (but only after the fact) but didn’t care one ounce for the lives he took.

I’m not disabled so my view isn’t important. But I do feel she explained this well. You couldn’t for example use the N word in a documentary title. But society is allowing the R word - showing they don’t take it seriously, I hope the show will explain why it should be.
@EdanStarforth
Glad I wasn’t the only one thinking this. Public proposals are awful for this reason! Unless you’ve previously discussed that you’d like that kind of thing!

Never got asked to take my toe nail varnish off and just did a 6 day admission wearing gel nails, SATS probe worked fine. In the 90s however my grandad was asked to remove his glittery varnish from his toes…we’d done it in his sleep weeks before and he had no idea 😂😂

I actually hated when they didn’t check it cause I felt like I’d wasted money being honest 😂 alas too old for one now, and too young for the next one!

The doctors staffing is lacking also from what you’ve said. No doubt the nursing managers are picking from newly qualified nurses, international nurses with no pin and perhaps if they’re lucky a handful of experienced nurses. No one is choosing to staff wards badly.
ORGAN DONATION WEEK - 20 years two donors gave us. If another one could’ve saved you I’d have wanted you to get one. That’s partly why I donated, so someone didn’t miss out!
I am a staff nurse in transplantation. I have been vaccinated. Because I *know* it is the single most important thing I can do to avoid being admitted to ICU or dying from COVID. And will protect those I care about and for the most. 💙

Oh my gosh! This was my experience in primary! I was basically sat with them to help them learn & behave which wasn’t my job as a child! Luckily it didn’t affect my learning too much so worked well but I can see how a sensitive child would be affected.
One thing that really hit me about

was how it must feel for our families who’ve spent so so many years in our unit/hospital, when they know they’re here for the last time & leaving without their loved one 😥
I’m a transplant nurse. I do care. Those ‘just the vulnerable’ people are the people I care for every single day. I will continue to wear masks in public places to protect them. God forbid I was to bring the virus into work.
Am I the only one not that bothered by wearing masks and showing covid passes? It doesn’t really limit my life but could protect those who need it. And I don’t want covid again!
@DrIpFeed4
Also intrigued as to the role of HAN support workers? Our support workers do predominantly practical tasks and don’t do documentation that requires an office.
Our builders just built the roof wrong and got away with it. The repairs were also done wrong by company employed by management firm, again they seem to be getting away with it. Leaseholders fitting the bill over and over

They weren’t records they were handover sheets. Every nurse gets one every shift & at the end they go in confidential waste. She took some home.

You still need a nurse to be able to do so, usually district nurses if it’s at home! We regularly teach patients to do their own home IVs when on long courses.
