When you wanna be a footballer as a kid growing up you want to be a footballer, not a role model for anyone else. As long as they are respectful, ethical and well intentioned then that's enough. They should not be put in a position to moralise to anyone.
@gunnersince96
@mikelaafc
He literally didn't... Nearly everyone thinks its a terrible idea.. Most fans.. But that underhanded dig and smarmy remark achieves nothing.. It must be a united front against it.. He was fairly quiet tonight when carragher spoke truths about sky..
@rickygervais
The people that believe those Hollywood celebrities speak 'truth to power' really need to check themselves!! 😂good job Ricky on calling them out! 👍
@JerryDunleavy
‘I have travelled the world in private jets, eaten in the finest restaurants, stayed in 5 star hotels while being paid millions of dollars for the privilege BUT I’ve seen marginalised people on these excursions’
@KevinMKruse
The way the word 'nazi' is thrown around now so carelessly and effortlessly is honestly an insult to the memories of all the people who died in word war 2.
@Independent_ie
'The singer’s comments prompted an outpouring of criticism with members of the public and Travelling community calling for an apology for the remarks.' Did it? Really? Empty vessels make the most noise. Vast majority of individuals knew exactly what he meant.
@BuzzFeed
When you 'follow' a character 'around' that's actually what makes the story.The audience are interested in that particular character. What people fail to realise is, most, don't care about the ethnicity or gender of the character as long as they are engaging. Concentrate on that.
@metpoliceuk
@CatholicArena
Some comments are highly inappropriate & no doubt hurtful, and they should not have been said. However, its not your place to say 'This is unacceptable'.You are the police, not the moral police. Express disappointment & call out the behaviour. Do not however undermine legitimacy.
@Variety
He's not 'doubling down' he's giving a rationale, perfectly legitimate response. 'Doubling down' usually refers to a steadfast commitment to a mistake. Stop this rubbish please.
@TheSun
From 1981–87, the number of Britons living in poverty (defined as living on less than half the national average income)was 20% of the whole population. Probably a little more painful than living in palatial homes, being waited on hand and foot and having everything you desire.
@AnMailleach
@Independent_ie
Disagree.While Ahern may have had political successes,celebrating corruption is never justifiable. As a society,we have a moral and ethical obligation to hold our leaders accountable for their actions.Turning a blind eye to corruption only undermines values and erodes trust.
@VillageMagIRE
Ye are penniless, no point suing ye, ye would drag it out for 4 or 5 years & then when ye go down the swanny ye would blame him.I don't like seeing any publication going through tough challenges,but ye should read the room.
Will be interesting to see the press Council decision.
@joelycett
Would have been great if you spoke about your own experiences performing in Quatar and how you felt criticising David Beckham for doing the exact same thing you did 😅
@businessposthq
Shane Coleman misses the mark here again. Ireland doesn't need Michael McDowell to 'reinvent the wheel; we need someone who challenges the status quo, a critical thinker who won't simply row with the populist current (of which coleman is a proponent) but challenge with integrity.
Yeah, cause all the tullamore farmer lads in their boot cut jeans are known for their raping 🙄🙄🙄This virtue signalling to feel good about themselves and make them look intelligent is nauseating.
As a woman and a Tullamore native let me say that racism or xenophobia has no place in the discussion on women’s safety.
A strange man walking behind me does not become any less dangerous to me because he is white
@NI_ALLO
And all the cars behind would rather stay and sit in fear than to beep their horn.. If they were a behind a learner driver that stalled they'd sit on it....
Sometimes twitter is a place where you wonder at humanity... then you read the tweets tagged

and you realise most people cry, laugh and smile at the same things as you and its uplifting, joyful and brings a sense of 'we're in this together' ...so nice

I urge you to take action against

regarding his reckless behaviour on twitter. His vigilante actions are breaching data protection and GDPR, as well as violating BBC's code of practice on social media. It's time to hold him accountable for his actions!

A small island country of 5 million people at the corner of Europe utterly and completely reliant on corporate tax horses over 212 million euro. Jesus wept.
Lot of brave knights & people looking for offence commenting on Karen carney here. Lot of us pay a lot of 💸 per month for the 'privilege' of watchin games on MNF & the chemistry between carra and gnev. It's not misogyny to say she ruins it & is a terrible pundit.

Ah ok, if you're rich you're not deserving of empathy.. compassion should only be for people you consider to be vulnerable.
@Finian_McGrath
No. There's no hurlers on the ditch finian. We are all out there on the pitch, putting the work in and contributing with the effort. There comes a time when the management have to take accountability. And it's abysmal, truly shocking, there is no strategy or plan.
'Clearly not shoulder to shoulder', thank you colm Cooper. Kevin mcstay you're backing down now very quickly and digging a big hole for yourself.

Now for the race baiters and rabble rousers to turn this into race issue, as in 'they didn't shoot him and he had a gun.'
Just waiting for that first tweet. Don't let them do it. Don't let them turn this into something it's not.

Sorry you were subjected to this Mo. Sounds terrible. I agree with you, 'soft targeting' by luas ticket Inspectors is rampant as they make conscious efforts to avoid those most likely not to have paid I.e those who jump on in groups without going near a machine or validator.
@ciaranmullooly
Christ, talk about circling the wagons.. is there a WhatsApp group or something where are all ye irish media people circulate stuff saying 'battle stations everyone one of our own need to be backed up on twitter'.. 🦸♂️
@Brendo91
Im not. Im too busy worried about the genocides in Nigeria or Sudan to be honest. There's no headlines outta them genocides so I feel bad for them.
😡 “The quicker we get rid of these bang average players, the better.”
🤬 “This team is pathetic. They are finished, they are washed as a team!”
😳 “I’m sick of being a Spurs fan.”
Jamie O’Hara goes in on Spurs & the Spurs players after drawing with Everton
@Aidan_Regan
Meant as sarcasm but when ciara kelly, shane Coleman, kieran cuddihy et al are throwing the tuppence worth in on the amendments on daily radio shows then its actually a very legitimate proposal that a former AG and minister for justice should have a such a platform.
@tierneysimon
Also essential that government acknowledge this influx & increase in population and reflect this through social and community services such as nurseries,schools, , hospitals, police, nurses, teachers etc. Bonkers to expect existing services to subsume this.
@VillageMagIRE
Hopefully he'll take ye to the cleaners. Whatever little evidence pile you have to support that assertion I guarantee won't be enough to save ye in the four courts.

I was thinking of applying for the

open enrollment extension school. If this is what faculty think of the students then there is more chance in hell freezing over than I attend there.
