If anyone wanted to purloin ideas would they diligently note the sources in the Bibliography? And if they have, isn’t it merely (at worst) a case of editorial oversight, a couple of them, across more than 1,200 pages? Small corrections in the next edition is all that’s needed.

No. They were expressly, absolutely and self-professedly not secular. Equally respecting all religions is not secularism. Trying to create a fake historical lineage for 'Indian secularism' only ends up having the opposite effect. Read @kapskom 'Malevolent Republic' for more.
