I am going to keep #shokybookclub going in my little boy’s memory+ bcs we are reading lots with cashew. Both the boys recently read a great bk called I am a tiger about a v confident mouse who is sure he is a tiger, even when he meets the real thing. The boys found it hilarious

Have been hearing that Madhuri vijay’s novel was refused by many publishers because it dealt with Kashmir. The agent of our bk bottleoflies was told by an Indian publisher that they wouldn’t have done the bk because of the liabilities. So much fear today about everything.

As the year ends, @juggernautbooks team is getting set up for our first public ticketed event. We won 4 out of the big 7 prizes this year. Increased our revenue by about 17%, grew a total subscriber base to 30k. Plus I had a gorgeous baby. So proud of all my babies.

the India Publishing trend that has taken me by surprise - the sales of homegrown lit fic. Most of our lit fic @juggernautbooks has reprinted and will be at the 5-7k level. Lit fic was always 2k/3k before, Harper says Subhangi has crossed 10k. other publishers seeing this?

Kids are often great readers until they are 4/5 and then they discover tv and video games and lose interest. How do you ensure your older kid remains a reader? I have four rules - 2 of which might freak you out! Rule 1: keep reading to them like you did when they were very young
