Spell-check is getting more and more excitingly random. I somehow misspelled “country” and it thought I wanted to write “Amigo ribs”. What letters could I have possibly written? I’m going to start purposely making spelling mistakes to see what it comes up with. Covfefe anyone?

Since I see a lot of misleading commentary here on this fine platform, let me clarify a couple things: 1. I do not own WMT, TGT, or their ilk. 2. I said on air this is not good for their shareholders. 3. I believe this news is deflationary on the margin.

3.6% unemployment, 200K initial jobless claims, positive durable goods orders & retail sales, growing profits . . . doesn't satisfy NBER conditions for a recession. Maybe it happens in 2023, but I don't think so. Inflation appears to be peaking. FFR expectations coming down.

Make no mistake, $CLF is masterfully strategic. The acquisitions of AK Steel and Arcelor Mittal US paid off handsomely. Expect this one to as well. Cleveland-Cliffs to enter scrap business with acquisition of Ferrous Processing in $775 million deal
