@libdembounce
I remember my world history teacher being very sad when Tunisia finally went authoritarian in 2021. He was very invested in ME politics and had visited many ME states.
@RedPrecariat
@vcvcx15
Kuwait has existed since 1752 and if we’re using the “colonial construct” argument, then the exact same argument applies to Iraq, as Iraq only exists because of the British Mesopotamian Mandate.
Keep in mind, the video literally shows this man crying tears of joy after seeing his biracial great-great-grandchild.
It’s always the trad weirdos who are the most anti-family.
@Tennesseine
@Daoshai1
I’m an atheist, but it’s people like you that make us look bad. The dude asked a question and you took the TikTok 15-yo’s argument of “I’m not here to educate you.”
@sock_dem
Cards Against Humanity has always been cringey and needlessly shocking. If you’re just now figuring that out, it’s because you don’t actually care, you’re just offended on behalf of the popular thing.
@jorfolle
Taking the position that Egypt did NOT start the Six Day War is akin to taking the position that Ukraine DID start their current war with Russia.
@ComradeStu
I don’t think anyone would ever argue that Ho Chi Minh was wrong. Out of all anti-colonial leaders, he was among the most sober and least bloodthirsty (against the French that is).
@TruestSlazac
Because their entire economy was based entirely on cash crops and exploitation to pay off French debts. Those types of economies don’t do well.
@gamergate2077
Why would they? Sweden’s king essentially gave up his own power and Norway’s king never really had much power to begin with. Iceland and Finland did abolish their monarchies and Denmark’s king was simply too popular to get rid of.
@Munchard2
Pretty ironic that they never really settled their own empire. Most German colonies had less than 1,000 ethnic Germans in them on the eve of WWI, the notable exception being Southwest Africa, which had about 13,000.
@KimiMirro
@imreallyimprtnt
Because “from the river to the sea” has historically been used to call for a Jewish genocide. Not that meanings can’t change, but to pretend like it has never meant that is disingenuous and anti-Semitic.
@Homiedino
I think it’s valid to be frustrated with Biden over his weak rebukes against Netanyahu. However, if Trump had been president in October 7, there would’ve been boots on the ground in Gaza and Ramallah on October 8.
@Karl_Was_Right
It’s an incredibly black-pilling realization, but America is actually the best country on earth. That’s not a commendation of America, it’s a sad comment on the state of the world.
@gothgirl_prelaw
I think we really underrate how absolutely nasty politics in safe states would be if they were swing states. If Oregon ever flipped red, there would be an actual uprising in Portland.
@blagojevism
I think it matters less the better the relations are. The Embassy in London is gonna be staffed by lightweights and lackeys, but the Embassy in, say, Khartoum, IS staffed by trained and experienced professionals.
@angrynorfman
I actually think that Portugal is one of the very few countries who consistently posted banger after banger when it came to flag redesigns
@sranysovok
> force Ukraine to denuclearize
> Russia takes nuclear weapons
> force Ukraine to demilitarize the Donbas and Crimea
> Russia occupies the Donbas and Crimea
> force Ukraine to sign friendship treaty with Russia
> Russia invades Ukraine Proper

I’m a fan of yours, but this reaction is borderline schizophrenic. I feel like Trey’s requests are perfectly reasonable, especially given that you claim to have evidence of one of the most groundbreaking finds in recent zoological history.
@atadblue
Bill Clinton gets an entire sector of Pristins dedicated to him, Tony Blair gets a whole ass baby name, bro the Kosovars are fr the greatest ally of the West.
@Cherrykickstart
Tankies love pretending like the DPRK and the Soviet Union were passive parties in the partitioning of the Korean Peninsula and the subsequent war.
@lefttwick
Oh neither am I. I actually think Tanzania is exactly what Africa needs. A middle power backed by most of the international community that’s internally stable and willing to throw around its weight a little when it needs to.
@JohnJoyceStan
I kinda lost a lot of respect for him after he claimed that there’s no evidence in behavioral differences in children today vs. 10 years ago
