@DubCham @Dublin_ie Work with property owners to audit the space they have on above-ground floors/vacant shops and develop a plan to convert the space into affordable/social homes (CC @CualannO ). It would create a permanent city center population to support existing businesses and create new ones.

The state is actively failing it's human rights obligations by not providing accommodation for those seeking international protection and now the police force are destroying their tents. This is absolutely beneath contempt.

This morning, a dozen Gardaí arrived at the International Protection Office in Dublin and attempted to clear out homeless asylum seekers living in tents. These homeless people were harassed, pulled out of their tents and told to leave the area.
