This is literally true. You can look up who judges select for clerkships. These 2 judges have selected only conservative students with membership in federalist society and other conservative groups. These are the only people harmed by this cancellation.

Arab-American’s absolutist position (on “genocide Joe,” as they would have it) is going to force Biden to the middle in order to pick up some Independents& Romney/Haley Republicans. Good for the country, but exactly the opposite of what the Arab-American’s calling him names want.

Evidence in this article suggests Georgia prosecutors have very strong computer trespass case under §16-9-93b. Conviction likely means at least some jail time (&up to 15-yrs). Could see Giuliani—b/c high likelihood of conviction—doing everything he can to get out of this charge.

This is becoming a remarkably pervasive trend. Even on support for the student loan forgiveness proposal, men (-4) and women (+18) are 22-points apart. The trend was already there, but Dobbs might cement the realignment across a much wider range of issues than just abortion.

The same thing that happened when Johnson dropped out in ‘68. There was no nominee until the last day of the convention (end of August). The voters who are going to decide the election don’t start paying attention until after Labor Day anyway.

I have watched so many people recently go on these rants that invariably begin: “The reason I won’t be supporting Biden...” What’s striking is that none of them have a positive vision. Who, or what, will they be supporting? Are they just waiting for their Trump-like figure?

One deep problem in the chaos is that when 99 out of 100 posts&comments by someone with a blue check are no longer worth reading- because they are mindless, racist, etc- you have to do a lot of mental work to overcome your(legitimate) bias and take that 1 in 100 on its own terms.
@thetomzone
It’s amazing how quickly & widely the negative connotation of having a blue check has been seared into our consciousness; a forced-searing from so many false, inane and/or hateful posts & comments. The immediate skepticism upon seeing one is increasingly difficult to overcome.

That ticket would be 100x better than Trump, but the polls suggest it would still be a close race. So many who are voting for Trump are doing so *because* he is populist, nationalist, anti-Ukraine, etc. Haley/Youngkin wouldn’t get these low-propensity voters to turn out.
The anti-Biden crowd in Michigan got a very disappointing showing. But even the numbers they did get are misleading. In November, Biden will be far strong in Michigan than he is now. Here is why:

These comments by Haley earlier in the week would also seem (in any sane world) to rule out an endorsement:

You are right that these were “shameful bills” that “failed spectacularly.” The shameful part is 100% on the GOP and the fact the failure was spectacular can be credited 100% to Democrats.
40% of the GOP House—and 0 Democrats—are explicitly against helping Ukraine and therefore are implicitly (explicitly in some cases) pro-Russia. 40%!! Truly amazing how quickly the 2 Parties have realigned on foreign policy.

Not something a person with NPD would ever do. He knows how quickly he would be off the front-page. For him that is a fate much worse than any stress.

Yet another failure to disclose (below). Sometimes you don’t know friends as well as you think you do. As for Thomas…if this was one of the liberal justices, you would criticize her without nuance. I know because I have heard you criticize them for much less.
MORE CORRUPTION: Harlan Crow made a $500,000 contribution to Ginni Thomas' Liberty Central, which in turn, paid her $120K a year salary! Clarence Thomas failed to disclose his his wife’s income during this period and the sources of Liberty’s funds were not publicly disclosed.
@HeathMayo
The net cost will be much less than $450/person. American’s are getting paid to make most of the weapons & ammo we are sending. 401k’s invested in the companies also gain. And we reap significant indirect benefits—for example, by upgrading our weapon stocks.
The Party called the GOP is no more. This is a MAGA only platform. Social conservatives should be disgusted that they did so much for Trump and got completely left out. Fiscal conservatives clearly have no place either. This is cut and dried big-government national-populism.

This part of the poll is just as disheartening. Republican voters - by a 16% margin (58-42) - are against providing aid to Ukraine. Among those who id as “conservative,” the margin against aid goes up to 30% (65-35). I have no doubt Reagan would be disgusted.
@SarahLongwell25

A discharge petition is not easy. The procedure was used successfully just two times in the last 30 years(last time in 2015, below). But it’s possible given the nature of this Bill. The burden and opportunity will be on Biden to effectively employ his bully pulpit to get it done.
An increase in calls by Hamas and other militant organizations to confront Jews visiting the grounds of al-Aqsa Mosque. While Ramadan has been relatively quite, it's clear Hamas is using the upcoming Passover holiday as a pretext to launch an incitement campaign.

This is literally the MAGA message, from it’s 2 most prominent leaders:
Biden allowed the worst intelligence leak in U.S. history, but the person responsible is a poor innocent martyr who deserves our thanks.
Makes perfect sense:
@JonahDispatch
Compare Romney, who in describing his child tax credit plan, said it was vital to the future of our country because it helps with “the most important work any of us will ever do — raising our society’s children.”
Looking past partisanship, the the two messages are very similar.
