Today I cried in the office after seeing a clip of a Gazan toddler crying out for "mama" with her dying breaths. Then I went home to my toddler & kissed her & stroked her hair & breathed in her smell & raged silently at the sheer injustice of it all #CeasefireNOW 💔

@lilithsdatura One of my favourite stories about this amazing lady is when, after the war, she was able to deliver the baby of a woman whose previous pregnancy she'd helped to abort in Auschwitz. If she hadn't done that, that woman would have died and her next baby would never have been born.

@amyisquitebusy @DanielleCandela Do you normally ask people what they want before you buy them any gift? How boring. I'm a 32 year old millenial and I'd be utterly honoured and touched if someone took the time to crochet me a handmade blanket, let alone if it was an unexpected, lovely surprise.

@BresockCalculus At my wedding venue, there was a family of hedgehogs who came out at night. My new husband found me crouching on the ground at 2am, wedding dress dragging on the floor, tipsily shsssshing him because I was "following the hedgehog" that was a few paces ahead. He was bemused.

@Aenarette @ask_aubry When I was pregnant, my husband wouldn't let me near the cat litter tray due to risk of toxoplasmosis. When he was away for 2 weeks, he asked a neighbour to come help so I wouldn't have to do it. This guy is willing to risk his wife and babies' lives to assert his authority.

@JCriswell4Him @ray_loux That's a ridiculous argument. By that logic, why should a school provide special support or resources to "a few" students, if the majority don't need it? A school's responsibility to create an environment where every student can thrive equally. That includes bathroom access.

@amyisquitebusy @DanielleCandela Also whatever you may think of a gift you are given, it's the height of rudeness to give it back or say you dislike it, especially if they've put so much effort it. Don't like it? Say 'thank you', then put it an cupboard or quietly regift it. No need to hurt feelings.

I'm from Ireland, a country which, until 2018, had a total ban on abortion. You know what happened? Women died. Rich women went overseas, poor women couldn't afford to. Women with unviable pregnancies were forced to literally wait while their babies died inside them.

@TheCut LOLLLLLL. This isn't the case for marrying an older man, it's a case for marrying rich. My husband is four years older than me. Does that mean I don't get to choose my own wine or clothes or vacations anymore??

@coachyawe @BridgetMarie @72063834 Ummm NO. Miscarriages aren't caused by traveling, so this wouldn't have made a blind bit of difference. Stop blaming women for something which is, 99% of the time, beyond their control. Women can do everything they are 'supposed' to and STILL lose their babies.

@PrisonPlanet I've never had an abortion, solely because I've never been in a position where that that was a choice I had to make. Now that I'm pregnant with my first child, I'm even more pro-choice and supportive of the right to safe, legal abortion than I was before.

@TheSonicScrew Don't forget Beretinni is playing in the Wimbledon final right now. So if Italy wins that too, does it become musical tennis played with footballs??

My brother is the paddleboarder featured in tonight's @BBCTwo #SavingLivesAtSea , rescued by @RNLI @RNLIDunLaoghair when he drifted out to sea. I'm so grateful for their quick action, without which his ill-advised outing might have had a very tragic ending.

@cheungkarkei @Patrick57871750 I come from a country ravaged by terrorism for decades. I can tell you that sniping children and flattening whole civilian neighbourhoods wasn't what got the militants to finally lay down their arms.

@Cambridge_Uni Yes you have a limited number of places you can offer, which you did back in Dec 2019/Jan 2020. So honour those offers and let students who succeded at interview attend, regardless of final A-Level results. No one is asking you to accept more students, just to #HonourtheOffer .

@iGotTubmans @jayedohe @CharlTaylorPage @bourbonbun Hey newsflash: people can have more than one feeling. She can love her child and still struggle with the burden of being a single parent. Where's your criticism of the baby's dad who told her to keep the baby, then went MIA?!

@Atlantaholic_ @POTUS You're wrong on all fronts. Hamas was elected in 2006 with 44.45% of the vote. There hasn't been an election in 17 years. Given more than half of the people in Gaza are children, that means the vast majority of people currently living in Gaza NEVER elected Hamas.
