On this day in 2019, I was diagnosed with Bowel Cancer. I was truly devastated, the first thought being, “I’m going to die”. After a tough two years of treatment, recent scans and other tests show I’m all clear. Thank you
@barts_team
@NHSEnglandLDN
@bowelcanceruk
After having 6 cycles of IV chemo, which means I couldn’t drink anything cold, I’m now on 2 more cycles of chemo tablets only.
Before I start those, I thought I’d push the boat out. Tastes wonderful! Cheers! 🤪
Happy Birthday to me, I’m 60 years old! Also tomorrow is the day I finish my chemotherapy. It’s been a tough year, so time for a double celebration.
And the man himself has sent me this. 🥳💕🍾🥂
@donnyosmond
3 years ago today, after being extremely unwell for 18 months, I was diagnosed with bowel cancer. Relief that I knew what was wrong with me but fear that I was going to die.
Thankfully I’m okay now. 🙏🏻
Please get checked by your GP if you have symptoms & don’t be fobbed off.
@SadiqKhan
Are you standing in solidarity with Sri Lanka? Where is the extra security at our churches on the holiest day in the Christian calendar?
Or are you only bothered about your own faith?
In November, I was diagnosed with Bowel cancer. A CT scan showed that it hadn’t spread to any major organs and on 3rd January, I had surgery to remove part of my Bowel and the tumour. Also, further tests showed that my lymph nodes were clear. 1/2
However, to mop up anything that may have slipped through the net, I’ve been offered chemotherapy. So today I’m off to Barts Hospital to have my first of 8 three week cycles. Thank you to the wonderful
@NHSuk
who have saved me. 💕2/2

. Shocking and awful true story. Taxi drivers, if you are struggling with everyday debt or can’t handle a PCN or other pressures, please DM me. I will do everything I can to help you.
Don’t think you are alone, you’re not. 🙏🏻
8 years ago today I got my green badge. I was so scared I didn’t go out or get a taxi for a month! 🥴
Who’d have thought I’d meet so many new people and make new friends. How things changed!
On this day 34 years ago, I lost my Mum. I often wonder what she would make of the world today. Back in 1985 all she ever wanted was to be a Nan. Although she never got to meet them, she has 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandsons.
God bless you Mum. 😘
Back in 2019, I was contacted by a knowledge student. His application to start the knowledge had been with TFL for nearly a year and he was desperate to do his map test. I contacted TFL and helped him to get started.
I received this email from him last week.
Congratulations 🥳
Okay, it’s rant time. 😡
If you ask me to appeal a PCN for you but then decide to pay it, please can you let me know.
I spend a lot of time on some tickets and it’s quite frustrating when you enter appeal you’ve spent ages typing up, to see that it’s been paid.
Thank you
It was only 11 days ago that the Mayor opened up about his mental health during lockdown.
If a Taxi or PH driver posted the same on Twitter, TfL would be reviewing his licence and there would be doubts over their ability to do the job.
Why is it different for the Mayor?
“I am doing everything in my power to make sure no more Londoners die preventable or early deaths due to dirty air.”
Meanwhile he’s been ferried around in not one but two of the highest polluting vehicles.
@MayorofLondon
⚠️After negotiations with St Thomas’s hospital, I’ve been informed that they will allow three minutes for drop off and pick up at the bottom of the ramp. Do not block off the crossing and road way and do not leave your taxi unattended. ⚠️
If you’re one of the 3 drivers who have parked on the London Zoo WORKING rank, your details have been taken and sent to TfL.
You get FREE tickets to the Zoo, yet want free parking as well?
Taking the pee!
After I sent a quick email to TFL this PCN has been cancelled, (it should never have been issued.)
Sadly, some drivers pay up as they can’t cope with tickets and the appeals process. If you or anyone get a PCN and aren’t sure what to do, just DM me. It isn’t as bad as it seems.
Today I received a pcn for a banned no left turn in Marylebone high from the Marylebone road .can you tell your left from your right ?
@TfLTPH

Just dropping my Great Nephew Callum to GOSH for his pre op and then kidney operation tomorrow.
A huge thank you to all the drivers who have donated to GOSH when I’ve helped you with parking tickets. The money is put to good use for sure. 💕
Watching “Ambulance” which is filmed in London. 8 stabbings in one morning, 2 shootings within an hour, Drunks and Druggies all calling for help. But poor old Beryl has to wait for 6 hours for an ambulance. 🤬
The London I’ve lived in for 60 years is a crime ridden cess pit.
20 years ago today, this beautiful young lady was brutally abducted whilst walking home from school. She was just 13 years old.
Thinking of the Dowler family today. God bless you Milly. 🙏🏻💕
Today is the first time I’ve been out since 10th March (except hospital appointments).
Managed a short walk and saw only 2 people. I know I should isolate completely but I am going ga ga!
Lucky to have this on my doorstep.
A person I used to walk my dog with, saw my post on Twitter and just popped this round.
Notice how I didn’t hang about opening it. 😂
Her words “Enjoy life”
Thank you 🥰
WARNING ⚠️
Two drivers have received letters from TfL threatening to revoke their licences, due to comments made on Twitter.
TfL have a ‘Twitter team’ who look at posts, then decide if you’re fit and proper.
Be very careful what you say.
Thank you for sharing this with me.
I’ve been appealing red route bay PCNs, using this argument since last August. The guys that highlighted this are geniuses. 👍
TfL 'broke law' using CCTV rather than traffic wardens to fine drivers via
@MailOnline
⚠️I’ve just spoken with St Thomas’s Hospital re dropping off.
They have said that dropping off at bottom of the ramp isn’t working, as taxis are blocking the road.
Therefore, can you drop in the car park through the barrier. You will get 15 minutes.
Please pass this on. ⚠️

Yet you’ve made taxi drivers buy Electric Taxis to comply with your agenda, but now you want to ban vehicles?
How are we going to make a living and afford to pay for this?
You three have combined salaries of £378,000, so is it a case of I’m alright Jack?
A driver has been giving a Parking Charge Notice for dropping a passenger at the Canary Riverside Plaza Hotel. He was then asked to wait for another passenger who was going into town, which took him over the wait time. Do not service this hotel!
@CanaryPlaza
This mobile phone cradle is under £7 on Amazon. No excuses about how you can’t afford it or never got round to it.
You can of course pay the £200 fine plus potential court costs and lose your livelihood, it’s a tough choice.
Harsh but true.
This is a letter I’ve sent to TfL regarding a driver I’m helping It shows the detrimental extent of TfL's policy to apply a 6-month additional punishment to taxi drivers.
Please support this cause.
It would seem
@wandbc
can’t tell that this is a taxi.
I appealed a PCN with proof that it’s a Taxi but they came back and said the email address wasn’t from the keeper, so we’ve had to start again. The girl on the phone said this could be a mini cab as it’s not black. 🤬
On this day 30 years ago, I lost my friend and work colleague, Jane Fairey in the Kings Cross fire. She was just 27 years old.
Thinking of everyone who lost someone on that fateful evening. 🙏🏻
#kingscrossfire
Just a polite warning.
If you are thinking of joining an org so that you can get cover for a long running PCN dispute, think again.
Your membership starts on the day you join, so making demands for PCN that’s 6 months old doesn’t work with me.
Thank you. 😁
Due to personal circumstances I will not doing any parking tickets for quite a while.
If you are a member of
@The_LCDC
please call the office, where you will be given advice on what to do.
I will try to answer any messages re pending tickets but it won’t be instant.
Juma Omar drove around London as a Uber driver, uninsured and without a license for TWO years. How many more are doing this?
@TfLTPH
@UberUKsupport
Uber driver who sparked a major terrorist alert was driving uninsured
That sort of day when you read or hear news about someone you don’t even know, and feel total anguish for them. Don’t give up hope George, many have fought it at this stage and won. 💪🏻

50 years ago this month, my mum bought a LP “Get together with Andy Williams”
The backing on most of the tracks was a group called The Osmonds. I would play that LP non stop and my relationship with this wonderful family started.
Thank you for the memories
@donnyosmond
Another lovely walk this morning. Only two miles but I’m building up gradually.
Came across a family of 8, (same house obviously) who didn’t seem to want to move out of the way. Until I told them I had the virus. Seemed to do the job..w***ers. 🤬
If you contact me via Twitter for help with a parking ticket, please can you let me know the outcome of any appeal. It helps me if I can keep a record.
Thank you
⚠️U TURN ON ALDWYCH⚠️
I am not answering anymore DM’s re this incident. ONE driver has received a NIP. As far as we know this is from a member of the public who has a dash/helmet cam.
If it was the police, I think there would be more tickets issued.
That is all. Thank you.
Private hire drivers are a crucial part of London’s economy, and do vital work helping Londoners get around every day.
I'm pleased TfL is now pausing enforcement of the SERU requirements - this is something I’ve expressed concerns about repeatedly.
⚠️Two drivers this week have had Fixed Penalties for throwing litter from their cabs. They both ignored the fine and it has now escalated to enforcement.⚠️
Throw your litter in a bin or take it home.
Don’t be a tosser.
Hey
@SadiqKhan
will London be standing in solidarity with Sri Lanka? Will you be stepping up security at London churches and drafting in more police?

Two years ago we booked a group holiday for mine snd a friends 60th birthdays. After 3 cancellations, we’re finally off to Rhodes. 61 now but we can party like we’re still 60.
No parking tickets until 14th Sept.
😎☀️
Nearly at the half way mark!
It’s appalling how TfL add a 6 month ban on to a DVLA ban, this needs to be stopped.
I’m helping a driver whose DVLA ban ends on Sunday, yet he can’t drive his cab until May. (Providing TfL agree to renew his badge)
If you get a PCN for following the diversion on Lothbury via Bank Junction, can you let me know.
Drivers are getting tickets when there is clearly a diversion in place.
@Squarehighways
why are you issuing tickets?
Just clearing out the loft and came across my “Knowledge basket”.
Stuck the string with Blu Tack on the map, but not sure if I can throw my Blue Books. 🤔
Just a reminder.
If you are working on Christmas Day, Boxing Day or New Years Day, Tottenham Court Road restrictions still apply.
Unlike the City of London, who allow you to travel through Bank Junction on Bank holidays.
You will receive a PCN from Camden Council for £65.
So sad to hear the news this morning, that Mark Sherlock

has passed away.
You were one of the nicest people I had the pleasure of knowing.
Carry on playing that sweet soul music up there. 😢

Shame on you all for allowing this. You charge £11.50 a day for polluting vehicles, that drive into London, yet are singing the praises of this polluting mini bus?
Yet taxis have been banned from buying new diesels since Jan 2018. What say you?
I raised the issue of the taxi rank at the Playboy Club being coned off by staff, Westminster Council. Also Hamilton Place and Bruton Street.
This is their reply.
On this day 7 years ago, I got my taxi badge. The photo below was taken in November 2011. Has anything changed? We know the answer to that one.
Still the best job I’ve ever had, despite the agro. 😊
Sad news, our little friend didn’t make it through the night. The traum of being stuck in the wall for most of the day didn’t help. I couldn’t leave it there to die, so we did the right thing.
It had a nice warm bed all night, so was comfy.
Not sure why I’m in floods of tears.

@LeonDaniels
It’s a shame you have linked your museum to this awful man.
Leon Daniels will be remembered for lying to the London Assembly and making a complete mess of London, nothing more.
Morning all from sunny Cornwall.
Quite a few of you are getting tickets for stopping on red route to nip into the shop.
You can only stop on red route to pick up or drop off passengers.
I will no longer deal with tickets if you are stopping where you shouldn’t be. Thank you
If you get a PCN that has the wrong location listed, it is invalid. Contrary to what you’re told, you must appeal it.
@TfL
wouldn’t listen and forced us to the Tribunal, where we won (obviously). Thank you for your donation
@iconbuster123
it was most welcome.
Westminster council churning out PCNs for the Piccadilly/Bolton street box junction. (Some unfairly)
Hold off crossing the junction until your exit is clear, then you won’t get caught.
Thank you
PCN issued for pavement parking.
In their reply TFL said that the driver could “Potentially cause damage to pipes and cables housed under the paving stones.” 🤦🏻♀️
I wonder if PCNs were issued to the 3 cars that were actually fully on the pavement and not a forecourt entrance?
⚠️Lots of PCNs coming in for Brompton Road outside Harrods. If you’re queueing to get on the rank, try and keep the zig zags clear. If you think you’re going to be stationary for a while, then leave.
The fine is £80, it will take a lot of jobs from the rank to pay that. ⚠️
⚠️ Warning ⚠️
Stop parking your taxis for long periods on the Kensington Park Road shelter rest rank.
LTDA/FreeNow member, 8 badge, it is not for you to leave your taxi whilst you jump on the train to go home.
If this continues you will be named and shamed.
@donnyosmond
15th April 1984. The Montcalm Hotel in London. You’d just performed at Her Majesty’s Theatre. The security guy told me to leave, you gave him the camera and asked him to take the photo. 😆
