It is dangerously hot outside. The heat index (what it feels like to our bodies) will exceed 100ยฐ for the majority of South Texas for a couple of hours this afternoon.

The winter storm warning & watch have been expanded and extended. We'll have rain & freezing rain off & on today. Overnight a heavier batch of rain will move in, and it will be freezing in the hill country. Rain will continue into Thursday morning, then we'll clear.
A few showers, some mist, & fog this morning. Fairly tranquil, although coo, the first half of the week. The arctic front will barrel through late Thursday, Temperature will drop like a rock. We'll be in the teen Friday morning with single digit wind chills.

Another round of heavier, cold rain is moving through Bexar County and surrounding areas. These kind of downpours - with the occational flash of lightning - will continue through the rest of the afternoon.

Here's the latest look at the radar as of 9:38 PM: the intensity of the snow is tapering off to the north of San Antonio. However, it's just beginning for you folks to the south. Stay safe and enjoy!
A winter storm warning has been issued for San Antonio & the hill country from midnight through 6:00pm tomorrow. Freezing rain, sleet, and some snow will begin overnight. Temperatures will drop through the day tomorrow.
Rain is along the coast and will continue to move inland this morning and throughout the day. A flash flood watch is in effect until 7:00 pm tomorrow. Heavy downpours later today and overnight.

Tropical Depression Fourteen has developed near the Yucatan Peninsula and is expected to strengthen, becoming the next named storm in the Atlantic -- Michael.
TD Fourteen will move into the Gulf of Mexico, but will NOT affect the Texas coast.

2:15 PM Sunday Update: Cold front is moving into Bexar County! Expect temperatures to quickly drop through the remainder of the afternoon & evening, then winds pick up and rain chances increase tonight / early Monday. Here's an update with Mia.
Heavy downpours are moving into Bexar County. More showers and storms will develop today and through the weekend. Rain chances will taper off next week.
We're watching this area of active weather in the Caribbean closely because it should move into the Gulf of Mexico later this week with the potential for development.
Cold Front Update - 3:30 p.m. Sunday
Temperatures are falling about 10ยฐ in less than 20 minutes near I-20... This front means business!

Yep, those are a few flakes you may be seeing ! A disturbance is moving across the area which is just enough to produce a few flurries. Very windy this morning and COLD ! Sunny and not as windy tonight. Another freeze warning overnight.
The Winter Weather Alerts have been expanded. In purple, expect up to 1" of snow with isolated spots of more than that. This includes Bexar County. The counties in pink can expect 1"-3" of snow. Stay safe!
6:15 pm Sunday Update: A few showers have developed northwest of our area along with a few isolated strong storms in West Texas. Rain chances increase locally tonight and even more so early Monday as our fall front moves through.

Clear skies overnight along with yesterday's rain means some patchy fog this morning. Then plenty of sunshine & mid 60s today. Clouds this weekend, a shower or two, & highs around 60ยฐ. Next week starts chilly, then warms by the weekend.

More heavy rain is moving throught the area. Flash flood warnings are in effect for Bexar Co. until 6:00am and Uvalde Co. until 6:45am. Rain continues today, highs in the upper 80s. More rain the rest of the week.
It's going to be messy & cold the next few days. Temperatures have dropped dramatically overnight, and continue to drop today. Some of the mist will start to freeze in the hill country. Freezing rain chances tomorrow & Wednesday mornings.

There an enhanced risk for severe storms from San Antonio to the east and southeast. Otherwise, it's going to be heating up with highs in the mid 90s.
Very hot tomorrow and this weekend with highs in the low 100s.
TROPICS: Disturbance east of Cuba may get its act together a little more by middle of next week. Big questions as to where it goes/how intense it will be after that... We'll keep you informed!

The rain continues to move off to the east & skies will clear out west. Sunshine today, lower humidity, & windy. The rest of the week will be a prize winner. We'll have some rain late Saturday into Sunday. Right now it looks like we'll be between systems for the eclipse.
Excessive heat warning is in effect. Today will be the hottest day with highs 105ยฐ - 110ยฐ. There is a small chance for a shower the next couple of days. It will still stay hot the rest of the week.
A pleasant morning, then spring returns. Humidity & clouds will increase today. Maybe a shower or two. Warm & humid with some AM mist the rest of the week and the weekend. Right now, there's a decent chance of rain Monday.
We love seeing some wintry weather in South Texas, but it is now at the freezing mark in San Antonio and our freeze warning is out until 9AM. Black ice on the bridges and overpasses will be a problem for drivers. You can't see it, but you will slide on it. Please stay safe!
