Physician: if you are rude/abusive to staff it's often documented in your patient record. Twitter mob: "Why are you such a horrible doctor?!?" Sorry, if that upsets some of you. But behavior is often documented, so that should practice chose to dismiss them they can show cause.

On 3/30 of this year I walked into my PCPs office and weighed 204lbs with a total cholesterol of 221, triglycerides 137 and LDL 154. I committed to lifestyle changes then and there. As of today 6/21 I'm down to 174.6 lbs, total cholesterol 184, triglycerides 81, and LDL 128.

So I got zero sleep last night. But the 2 yo is doing much better. After acetaminophen/ibuprofen alternating every three hours, this morning we are down to a rectal of 99.8 and a HR of 120. Lungs still sound cruddy but no wheezing or crackles.

My oldest daughter, 9, just started back at an in person school today after two years of being on virtual only learning. They have a 100%, no exceptions, mask policy, HEPA filtration units in every class and office, & staff have a 96% vaccination rate. Am I still nervous? Yes.

Also PCPs do better at praising your patients' positive changes in diet, weight, cholesterol or any other lifestyle modifiable conditions. "It looks better but...." Is not praise. Even if they only lost 10 lbs in 3 months your validation & praise matters! Positive reinforcement.

Falsely and intentionally spreading racist misinformation from a racist website claiming that DEI and removing race from kidney function tests (eGFR), "screwed up" the kidney transplant waiting list....is a grotesque misuse of a platform supposedly run by a nursing professional.

@ZAGrrl @arghavan_salles As someone who has had a prostate exam, and as someone who places IUDs there is no comparison. IUD placement is much worse. It's why I always offer localized anesthetic and an anxiolytic prior to placement. We need to normalize pain control in their placement.
