@Empty_America Historically there’s another reason why dense populations are stunted: diseases. Before modern sanitation, dense populations would cause human waste to seep into the water supply. They suffered from diseases and parasites that knocked several inches off.

@Empty_America When I was entering the workforce in 2014, a lot of young men with liberal arts degrees and $80k + in college debt were going to South Dakota for a year to work in the shale fields to pay off their debt. After that they returned to ‘fun’ places for low paid white collar work.
