Anyone who cares about the taxpayer should be against coal. Once the foreign companies find it unprofitable and leave I almost guarantee we'll be on the hook for billions to clean it up. We've all seen how this stuff works. Sorry, I gotta stand with the ranch families on this.

@CorbLund We can’t all be singers Corb. You are fighting against jobs for Albertans. There is already coal mining happening in the Rockies, the drinking water is fine. With technology and regulations a new mine will have little to no impact whatsoever on the water.

Hey folks, guess what? Part 7 of 'The Ranch' is out today, and yours truly makes an appearance in episode 2. I play a bar patron; a real stretch... I didn't get any lines, BUT I was the only one who got to drink real beer during the scene. And....there were many multiple takes.

We're not gonna pay for shit with this project, there's hardly anything in it for AB. I'm not anti resource. But not EVERY project makes sense. Have YOU looked at the numbers on this? And included the inevitable cleanup on the taxpayers tab? And the impact on Ag and Tourism?

(NON-CDNs PLS DISREGARD): We've been told over and over to trust AB govt & regulators on coal mine selenium. Read this. Another great example of their work. NO NEW COALMINES IN THE ROCKIES. And this ain't political...our families have to drink the water.

Certainly. Makes great sense for the foreign coal companies and for whatever politicians have been 'lobbied'. But not for Albertans. Dirty business. Generational ranch families who've been excellent conservationists for 100+ yrs have the moral authority here, not politicians.
