Certainly. Makes great sense for the foreign coal companies and for whatever politicians have been 'lobbied'. But not for Albertans. Dirty business. Generational ranch families who've been excellent conservationists for 100+ yrs have the moral authority here, not politicians.

So, your argument is not in my backyard? Solar panels are environment friendly?
Different discussion as this coal is used in the process of making steel.

And can we get some clarification on what the hell “responsible resource development’ is?!? Like , ‘responsible to the f’n shareholders’ is about all their good for. Give ur head a shake, Marco.
@marco_huigenbos
@CorbLund
So responsible like all the orphaned and abandon wells in this province, unreclaimed coals sites already exist in AB. Don't believe a foreign company (ieBenga) would do anything given their track record in Australia.

@CorbLund
Marco have you driven through the pass any time in the last 3 or so years? Place is plastered with “no grassy mountain” signs. Nobody, including the people of Crowsnest, or anyone downstream, want this shit destroying the mountains
@marco_huigenbos
@CorbLund
Imagine coming all the way from the Netherlands just to cheer on the destruction of Canadian lands for a few bucks but a lifetime of destruction.
Not everything needs to be exploited for profit Marco. Very disappointing.
@marco_huigenbos
@CorbLund
How would you know what the people in Crow’s Nest Pass want? Your participation in closing the Coutt’s border crossing shows where your loyalties are, and they’re certainly not with Albertans!
@marco_huigenbos
@CorbLund
UCPEE all ways moves the coma by one on their numbers should read 100.00 people from the Pass as all the previous numbers have said 100 workers for the mine
UCPEE has a hard time with math when it comes to Albertans
@marco_huigenbos
@CorbLund
responsible resource development goes not endanger the drinking water for humans and livestock of southern alberta .all the towns and city's along highway 3 depend on safe water. coal mining endangers that and there is no remedy to selenium
