I finally convinced someone I love to get vaccinated. They weren’t anti-vaxx but had been convinced by friends that on-line treatments were better than the vaccine. It took many gentle conversations and reminders but it finally happened. We can’t give up on people.

My inbox is full of Greenline letters this morning, with the vast majority in support. What’s striking is the positive letters are individually written, not form letters, mostly from young people who are excited and optimistic about Calgary’s future. I agree. 🚊

The Wexiters are about to experience what it’s like to be cut off from a western port. Canada has a national disaster in our hands & a national effort will be required. To rebuild, teams, expertise & supplies (from pumps to girders to hay) from around the country will be needed.

Today we drove to the Kananaskis to clear our heads from all the tragedy. A gentle cycle on the Bill Milne Trail recharged my soul. Dammit, Alberta is beautiful! She might break your heart but she’s worth fighting for.

Yellow vesters, anti-maskers, freedom-fighters... it's time to name and condemn it for what it is. These are white extremists who want the individual freedom to inflict harm, the freedom to infect, to demean, to dominate, to wreck the planet. The freedom to hate.
