@DruhFarrell @CorbLund Why should city people determine what happens in rural areas? Rural people don't interfere with city politics.

@CorbLund was right. The fight is not over. Supporters of open-pit coal mining say there's a chance new mines could be built in Alberta's Rockies | "We're hoping with this little window with Danielle (Smith) that we can crack that open,''

@Vickiedoodle @DruhFarrell @CorbLund It’s everyone’s concern because the mountains are for everyone. Not to mention the environmental impact will affect everyone including city dwellers.

@Vickiedoodle @DruhFarrell @CorbLund Drinking water for 1.8 million people, which comes from the Eastern slopes and goes to Hudson Bay, versus maybe 200 jobs. Which do you think is more important?

@Vickiedoodle @DruhFarrell @CorbLund LOL! Rural Alberta voters have been imposing their ideas on city residents for ever.

@Vickiedoodle @DruhFarrell @CorbLund As soon as we set up 2 separate provincial governments, one for rural and one for urban, you can claim that rural people don't interfere with cities and vice-versa. Otherwise, rural votes carry more weight than urban votes. Provincial governments affect city politics.
