@DrNeenaJha Grad medic ex pharmacist here. Pharmacy techs should not be compared to doctor and PA situation - it’s really not the same. Pharmacy techs are valued and a vital part of the pharmacy team. They’ve been around for ages, assist pharmacists and make a pharmacist’s life easier 👏

@MedRegoncall1 @NHSuk @PharmacyFirst Med student & ex pharmacist here. Pharmacists have been doing similar for years under what was called a patient group directive. Seems it’s been re-invented with some more conditions added and called pharmacy first? Not sure its welcomed by pharmacists as already stretched

@ConkerLover @MedRegoncall1 I’m not as young as I look but thanks. I am not promoting out of scope practice speak to any hospital pharmacist about who makes chemotherapy and you’ll get the same answer

@MedRegoncall1 I’m completely against the PA role. I’m trying to explain that the pharmacy technician role is not the same thing as what’s happening in medicine but if you don’t want to listen it’s fine everyone has their own opinion

@AndrewJD The % getting their first choice won’t be strictly accurate either as it’s not taking into consideration how many students have preferences a safer first choice option rather than picking what they really wanted in this new high risk allocation system
