I got into a taxi this morning to go to a hospital. Driver had his mask underneath his chin. I asked him to out it on, no response. I then said 'you might want to put your mask on, I work on a covid ward.' It had the desired effect!

@RealDeniseWelch It reduces transmission and is very good at stopping you getting seriously I’ll or dying. Given the cost of healthcare in the USA a free safe vaccine seems like a very good idea. A flu vaccine would also be a good idea - reduced chance of getting flu transmitting it and dying

@djbradshaw64 1:1 conversations are invaluable. At least 50% of the pregnant people who I speak to who have previously declined vaccination accept vaccination after hearing the risks of Covid in pregnancy and the safety of vaccination.

@ShaunLintern Very glad my 15 year was vaccinated on Friday. Some people might want to rethink their decision not to vaccinate their children. No child has died anywhere from the vaccine. 10 children died from Covid in the UK in September.

Last week @MFT_SMH we asked 214 women attending our antenatal clinic if they had been vaccinated. 47% had at least one dose, 36% have had both. @MFTnhs we discuss Covid vaccination at every appointment and prioritise pregnant women in our vaccine clinics. @MidwivesRCM @RCObsGyn

@SoniaPoulton My daughter has had 2 vaccines because both she and I care about her health. She's looking forward to turning 16 when she can get a booster.Her friend has autoimmune eye disease from covid in March 20 and needs extra time in exams to put in eye drops. She's vaccinated too.
