Can anyone tell me what the “compromise” would have been if Remain had won the EU referendum 52-48? Would we currently be discussing all these “soft Remain” options to keep Leave voters & MPs happy? Nope. A Remain victory would have meant Remaining in the EU, full stop.

It’s utterly bizarre for Corbyn, Swinson, Sturgeon et al to call for Boris Johnson to resign when they have repeatedly refused to allow a general election. They can force him out of 10 Downing Street in a vote of no confidence TOMORROW if they want. Go on, then, do it.

Today's decision to impose Plan B was made by the quad - PM, Sunak, Javid, Barclay The Cabinet were only told of the decision in a *phone call* afterwards. There was "not even a hint" at Cabinet meeting on Tues that Plan B was even being considered. THIS IS THEATRE NOT SCIENCE

The point isn't that staff at No10 shouldn't have held a 2020 Xmas party. The point is not that they broke the rules they imposed on all of us. The point is that they KNEW the rules they imposed on us were a load of nonsense. But they did it anyway.
