@itsocheagain Well, yes, by stealth. Services cut and replaced by private companies, have been increasing steadily since 2010 The NHS remains and will likely continue to but it is being farmed off via an increasing number of contracts, which all need significant NHS personnel to manage

The entire notion of a free press, is for it to be free to challenge the authorities, the government and the party of government. If the press isn't doing that, and is heavily partisan, then it acts as a propaganda arm for the owners of it and/or the polticial party in power
