@mattyglesias It's weird to frame it as "We need to spend more on prisons to..." Surely the order is "We need to make prison safer & more humane, requiring..." Maybe rather than being contrarian and leading with the tough sell, you could have message discipline and talk about popular things?

@joshshepperd I am under 30 and this is ridiculous. It's popular but it's a more private form of social media than Snapchat was during the fad years and people don't talk about it as much. I feel like people are memory-holing every other social media fad and how big they felt too.

@shambibble @BrandyLJensen When I helped run an EA chapter in college we made everyone who wanted to talk about AI instead of cash transfers and public health start their own club with a different name, and I really wish broader EA would have done the same thing
