Over the last 30 years of my career the hospices had stood shoulder to shoulder with the statutory sector. They cared for my dying grandmother- aunt and mother. Now more then ever while resources are deployed to the NHS hospices need to be included in resource allocation.

Why do nurses leave? Pay is an issue but is one of many factors. Seeing less nurse retire & return which is a major concern as the population ages & increases in size. challenges are many. WF is seen as a expensive commodity rather then a safety critical necessity @alisonleary1
