DC voters have an opportunity to elect neither of these people this June. Imagine @PLKDC and @Janeese4DC in this same photo cheering for a very different President in 2021 (if we can have an inauguration event at all, I guess)

How about closing one lane of Beach Drive to cars for a year and then people on bikes can use the tunnel too. #bikedc

BIKE TRAFFIC ALERT: A section of the Rock Creek Trail next to the Zoo is closed. You know that section where you always think, "it looks like this trail is going to fall into the creek?" Turns out it's about to fall into the creek. Park officials have deemed it unsafe.

How about a $5 fine for the bus lanes instead of $200 - and definitely instead of the current $0? But put them on as many buses as possible. That would better fit the “certainty over severity” concept I believe in, and maybe address @MayorBowser ’s concerns, whatever they are?

2 or 3 years ago I sat in meetings with @DDOTDC engineers who insisted that having a crosswalk and bike lane on the east side of 1st St @ NY Ave there was impossible, that it “didn’t work.” Eventually it was possible. Always keep advocating for better intersections!

It’s clearly historically incompatible to be so short. Too bad there wasn’t a historic district to prohibit making it short. (No historic review has ever said that.)

If riparian is the word for the place water and wilderness land touch, is there a word for the place urban space or infrastructure and wilderness touch?

Takoma person says 8 unit apt bldg next to a single family house is “out of character.” @BrianneKNadeau says, um, in #ward1 that’s pretty common so I don’t see the problem. 👍 #ComprehensivePlan #CompPlanHearing
