Everyone has their own opinion what good code looks like, which comes down to personal taste. I don’t mind doing certain way as long as there are valid motives behind certain actions. Otherwise it would just be stepping on each other toes.

My problem is that I think in terms of scale way too often. But you can't just write code that doesn't scale all the time. Otherwise, you will just spend so much time refactoring it later, which indeed does not scale at all.
